Running back stats continue to shrink at the top levels but it is easy to see why newcomers Ryan Mathews and Marshawn Lynch are finally highly regarded. Mathews already ranked second in games with 100 total yards or more and he's slated for more work and more touchdowns this season. Fred Jackson again shows up high and that is sadly bound to decrease this year.
