Trent Richardson, Browns –
We're starting to see some of the running that made Richardson such a hot draft day commodity. And the Browns still have no other playmakers, so he'll get the entire workload.
C.J. Spiller, Bills –
With Fred Jackson out for a month--maybe more--Spiller gets all the touches in Buffalo. If he keeps doing with them like's done the first fortnight--the first back to average 10-plus yards a carry over the first two games since the immortal Jim Brown--Jackson may not have a job to return to.
Chris Johnson, Titans –
Last year you waited... and waited... and waited. This year, why not beat the rush? He'll probably bust off a couple of games to wind up with semi-respectable final numbers, but he's nowhere near CJ2K productivity.
Matt Forte, Bears –
A high ankle sprain will sideline Forte for at least two weeks, probably something more like four to six. By the time he returns Michael Bush may have earned a larger share of the workload--or the entire Chicago offense may have collapsed around Jay Cutler. Either way, it's no good for Forte's fantasy prospects going forward.
Cedric Benson, Packers –
Yes, that was Benson catching four passes in addition to his typical 20-for-80 performance on the ground. Maybe the Packers will take this whole "need to run the ball" seriously enough to keep giving Benson opportunities.
Shonn Greene, Jets –
Greene left the Jets' Week 2 loss to Pittsburgh with a potential concussion. By the time he gets back on the field it's entirely possible his pedestrian contributions will have been replaced by the likes of Bilal Powell.
