Mike Wallace, Steelers –
Who needs the preseason? Wallace continues to play like he wants a new contract, and with the Steelers giving up more points than usual and struggling to run the ball the opportunities continue to be bountiful.
Marques Colston, Saints –
Evidently Colston's plantar fasciitis fixed itself without surgery. Now he has to hope his game can do the same; right now that's not a particularly encouraging bet.
Jeremy Maclin, Eagles –
Maclin can't seem to stay healthy; worse, his quarterback continues to flirt with injury as well.
Torrey Smith, Ravens –
A courageous performance, to be sure; it's also more indicative of what Smith is capable of than his poerformance over the first fortnight of the season.
Brandon Lloyd, Patriots –
The fear coming into the season was where Lloyd might fall in the Patriots' passing game pecking order. Right now he's pretty close to the top, and while that could certainly change on a week-to-week basis it should be a productive ride while it lasts.
Michael Crabtree, 49ers –
The egg the Niners laid in Minnesota proves they'll never be a passing team. Which makes it difficult for Crabtree to be a reliable fantasy factor.
Andrew Hawkins, Bengals –
Even though he's the slot guy and not on the field as much as, say, Armon Binns, every time he touches the ball he's a threat to do major damage.
