Ahmad Bradshaw, Giants –
With goal-line vulture Andre Brown suffering a broken leg in the loss to Green Bay, Bradshaw should see more looks at the stripe. David Wilson gets a bump up as well, though the Giants still don't appear to have much faith in him.
Steven Jackson, Rams –
Playing out the string in St. Louis, but fortunately Jackson knows no other mode than beast mode. He's taken over Daryl Richardson's share of the carries and is back in the realm of every-week fantasy starter, at least in yardage-heavy scoring systems.
Michael Bush, Bears –
Matt Forte, Bears –
Forte exited the win over Minnesota with an injury to the same ankle that cost him time earlier this season. Even before the injury he was ceding goal line looks to Bush; now he could be on the shelf at the most critical time of the year. Bush's value, obviously, leaps with any time Forte misses.
Knowshon Moreno, Broncos –
Not sure which was more surprising: the Broncos' game-day announcement that Moreno would get the start over Ronnie Hillman or that Moreno looked competent in his return to action after being a healthy scratch much of the year. Keep your expectations in check, he had 85 yards against the Chiefs, but he appears to be in line for quantity carries and that's always a plus at this point in the season.
Beanie Wells, Cardinals –
The first NFL player to come off the IR using the new rules, Wells turned in a classic Beanie game: barely three yards a carry, stumbling into a goal line touchdown, and one brief flash of talent on his longest run of the day, a 12-yard touchdown. At least you know what you're going to get.
Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars –
This is better than a holdout for MoJo: he gets sympathy, free medical, and watches his leverage for next offseason's holdout climb as Jalen Parmele gets hurt and Rashad Jennings does what Rashad Jennings does.
Brandon Jacobs, 49ers –
James cracks the list after Kendall Hunter went down with a knee injury. Likely means more carries for Frank Gore as well, along with touches for Anthony Dixon and maybe some playing time for LaMichael James.
