CHI at PHI IND at KC NO at CAR TB at STL
CLE at NYJ MIN at CIN NYG at DET TEN at JAC
*UPDATED DAL at WAS MIA at BUF OAK at SD ATL at SF (MON)

Prediction: TEN 27, JAC 16 (Line: TEN by 5.5)

Update: Maurice Jones-Drew had some limited work on Friday and is listed as questionable. The expecatation is still that Jordan Todman will start and that MJD misses another game. It won't be official until inactives are turned in though.

The 5-9 Titans are just 3-4 in road games and take their final trip for 2013 to face the 4-10 Jaguars in a replay of week ten when the Jaguars upset the Titans 29-27 in Tennessee.

vs Rush Catch Pass
RB Shonn Greene 20,1
WR Justin Hunter 3-60
WR Kendall Wright 6-80
TE Delanie Walker 4-50,1

Pregame Notes: The Titans wind down with two very nice matchups that should result in wins. There's been little progress with the offense this season and no doubt quarterback will be on the offseason wish list. The defense needs more work as well. This is just another NFL team in need of a major reboot.

QUARTERBACKS: Ryan Fitzpatrick really blew up last week with 402 yards and four scores in the overtime loss to the Cardinals. He settled for only one or two scores in all other games this year despite facing soft secondaries. Fitzpatrick threw for 264 yards and two scores in the earlier loss to the Jaguars and added a rushing score as well.

RUNNING BACKS: The role of Shonn Greene is rather fluid since he followed up his two touchdown game in Denver with only three carries for four yards last week. Chris Johnson not only scored in four of the last five home games, the one time he missed was when he ran for only 30 yards on 12 carries against the Jaguars. Johnson is running less effectively in the second half of the season though partially that is related to the schedule. He has been used as a receiver more and scored via a pass in two of the last three weeks.

WIDE RECEIVERS: The only real progress made on the offense is here. Kendall Wright is the primary wideout and while he only scored twice this year, he's been rock solid with 70 yard games or better. The rookie Justin Hunter is finally catching fire with 100+ yards and a score in two of his last three games played. He was a healthy scratch for violating team rules last week. Michael Preston caught two touchdowns in that game but those were the first of his career and he only ended with three catches for 27 yards.

In week ten, Wright caught seven passes for 78 yards and Hunter turned in two receptions for 51 yards in the loss to the Jags.

TIGHT ENDS: Delanie Walker is getting more use in the second half of the year and while he is of no help in road games, at least he's showing up big at home. Five of his six scores came in Nashville and one of his best games was when he caught four passes for 62 yards and one score against the Jaguars. Tight end Taylor Thompson also scored against them that week on his only catch in the game.

MATCH TO THE DEFENSE: Fitzpatrick already turned in a decent showing against this defense and the Jaguars are only marginally better at home versus the pass. Chris Johnson struggled in the previous game so there is no reason to assume some improvement will be had moving the game to Jacksonville. Wright is always a decent WR2 option and Hunter carries some upside here. Walker should also be considered because the Jags are just so bad against the position.

JAC vs TEN Rush Catch Pass
QB Chad Henne 170
RB Jordan Todman 80,1 5-40
WR Mike Brown 4-30
WR Ace Sanders 2-20
TE Marcedes Lewis 6-50
PK Josh Scobee 3 FG 1 XP

Pregame Notes: Another bad season is winding down though winning four of the last six certainly makes it feel better. Thanks to injuries and suspensions, the initial starting quarterback, possibly running back and both receivers are not going to play in these final games. The final weeks could surprise though since the Titans already fell to the Jaguars when they broke their eight game losing streak and the Colts are likely to mail it in the final week.

QUARTERBACKS: While Chad Henne scored only ten times this year, that;s been two touchdowns each in the most recent three games while facing below average secondaries. Henne passed for only 180 yards and two interceptions in Tennessee for the first meeting. Losing Cecil Shorts is certain to make a bad situation even worse.

RUNNING BACKS: Maurice Jones-Drew missed last week with a hamstring strain and he is no lock to return for this game. It will likely be late week before a final determination is made but Jones-Drew has enough wear on the tires and this season is already over. The Jags are talking about signing him to a two-year extension so resting him makes the most sense. Jordan Todman racked up 109 yards on 25 carries in relief last week which incidentally is more yardage than Jones-Drew generated in any game this year. Todman is likely to get another start though again it won't be certain for a while if not game time again.

Jones-Drew enjoyed one of his better efforts when he ran for 71 yards and a score in Tennessee. I will assume Todman plays until and unless Jones-Drew looks like a lock.

WIDE RECEIVERS: FIrst Justin Blackmon was suspended and now Cecil Shorts hits injured reserve with a groin injury. That leaves the rookie Ace Sanders and Mike Brown as the starting wideouts. Brown turned in one freakish 120 yard effort against the Chargers but otherwise only cranks out sub-40 yard efforts. Sanders finally scored his first NFL touchdown just last week but only caught two passes for 17 yards. He can be as good as 60 yards against a bad secondary but the Titans are #2 against wideouts. That's just bad.

In the previous meeting with the Titans, Sanders was held catchless, Shorts ended with two receptions for 42 yards and Brown also caught two passes to net 40 yards. None of them scored. Just bad.

TIGHT ENDS: Marcedes Lewis is on a three game streak of touchdowns though the yardage and catches remain low. He only managed three catches for 39 yards in the last meeting with the Titans but should end up with more passes now that Shorts has left.

MATCH TO THE DEFENSE: This is the worst passing team that now are pretending that their wideout depth is #1 and #2 on the depth charts. The only place that this game gets good is against the run. The Titans have already allowed 19 touchdowns to running backs this year and every road opponent features a running back who gains at least 70 rushing yards and scores. Todman or Jones-Drew, that is where this game offers up fantasy value.
