Quarterback Movement

Ryan Fitzpatrick, New York Jets Up

After shaking off a little rust from his lengthy offseason standoff with the team, Fitzpatrick looked brilliant on Thursday Night Football. He loves to take shots down the field, and with a trio of dynamic receivers, plus two great pass-catching backs, Fitzpatrick should be in the conversation of weekly starters.

Josh McCown, Cleveland Browns Up

McCown looked respectable replacing the injured Robert Griffin III (who came out of the rankings entirely) in Week 2, tossing a pair of touchdowns and keeping Baltimore's defense playing honestly. Unfortunately, no matter how good McCown looks (260 yards, 2 TDs), fantasy owners are always at the mercy of his erratic, reckless nature (two interceptions).

Running Back Movement

Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints Down

He went down literally one spot in the rankings simply to show he is on my radar. Admittedly, it didn't hurt that Matt Forte was ranked one spot behind him! Ingram -- who tends to need more work than just nine carries to get on track -- will be on a short leash going forward.

C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos Up

The offense will run through Anderson as long as he proves capable and remains healthy. He is a weekly threat to find the end zone, even if gathering yardage has proven to be a little bit of a chore in the early season.

Danny Woodhead, San Diego Chargers Down

Similarly to Ingram, Woodhead was moved down several spots in the event his gruesome-looking injury turns out to have had more bark than bite. Stay tuned.

Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons Up

Coleman has fewer touches but more fantasy points than Devonta Freeman through two weeks. In fairness, the latter showed more signs of life in Week 2 than he did during the opening week. Week 3, against the Saints, will be a telling breakdown for this backfield.

LeGarrette Blount, New England Patriots Up

We have two more games before Tom Brady returns, which likely signals the end of Blount running 25-plus times. In the meantime, expect New England to ride the big man into the dirt. His boost in the rankings (seven spots) is likely to be fluid.

Wide Reciever Movement

Travis Benjamin, San Diego Chargers Up

If Danny Woodhead is indeed done for the year, Benjamin's seven-spot jump might not be enough. He scored twice in Week 2, becoming the de facto WR1 for Philip Rivers now that Keenan Allen (knee) is watching from his couch.

Mike Wallace, Baltimore Ravens Up

There is no dispute who is the top receiver in Baltimore, and it is not even close. Wallace still has some wheels to get loose downfield, but he appears to have an instant rapport with Joe Flacco -- and near the stripe, where it matters most.

Will Fuller, Houston Texans Up

I'll admit that I genuinely did not believe in Fuller as a rookie. He proved me wrong and changed my mind. There is an obvious chemistry between the former Golden Domer and quarterback Brock Osweiler. While Fuller is bound to have a few letdowns, he is making a case to be an every-week lineup decision.

Willie Snead, New Orleans Saints Up

A 5-54-1 stat line was enough to bump him a few more spots in the rankings. It's unlikely that he climbs much more than this, barring an injury to one of his receiving mates.

John Brown, Arizona Cardinals Down

Brown, primarily playing out of the slot, will erupt (maybe even in Week 3 knowing my luck) at some point this year. Probably more than once. Until then, he's trending downward and probably should only be considered in daily fantasy games until we have bye weeks to force our hands.

Tyrell Williams, San Diego Chargers Up

Williams will benefit from increased playing time after Keenan Allen was put on the shelf. Philip Rivers found Williams on a crossing route the lanky receiver took it 44 yards to the house. At 6-foot-4, Williams is the talents wideout on roster.

Kamar Aiken, Baltimore Ravens Down

Last year's breakout Ravens receiver -- largely due to injuries -- has been invisible through two games. As long as the current stable or receivers, plus tight end Dennis Pitta, contribute effectively, Aiken won't see many targets. Continue to stash him for a week or two if you have him in reserve.

Quincy Enunwa, New York Jets Up

You'll have to be in a desperate situation to start Enunwa in any traditional league before bye weeks begin. He's definitely a talented player who flashed talent in 2015 before breaking out over the past two weeks of this season. Add him as a reserve. His stock could climb if Brandon Marshall misses time with a sprained knee.

Tight End Movement

Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers Up

The sure-handed veteran is moving up in the rankings because of the injury to Keenan Allen and what looked like another devastating setback with Danny Woodhead (knee) going down.

Jesse James, Pittsburgh Steelers Up

Ben Roethlisberger's newest safety value came out guns a blazing in Week 2 ... well, by his standards, anyway. James caught three balls for 29 yards and scored. It appears he will have a regular role in the passing game, at least for the next several weeks.

Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens Up

He was given a token bump last week and climbed six spots in this release. Stash him for depth, but don't be afraid to play him with the right matchups.

Kicker Movement

Nick Novak, Houston Texans Up

He was among my favorite sleepers in the summer. Yes, kickers can be sleepers. Novak is a safe bet to consistently approach or top double-digit fantasy points each week.

Nick Folk, New York Jets Up

In all honestly, this one is about volume. I don't exactly trust Folk's accuracy enough to warrant nine spots worth of ascension.

Team Defense Movement

Buffalo Bills Down

Rob Ryan. Can I get away with leaving the commentary at that? After giving up 37 points, at home, against a divisional for they should know as well as anyone, there is no way I could justify keeping them stationary.

Baltimore Ravens Up

A minor improvement in their ranking could be negated if they cannot beat up Blake Bortles and the Jaguars in Week 3. That will be their fantasy litmus test.
