NOTE: These player rankings track a player's value for the remainder of the season and are intended to be used as a tool, not necessarily a definitive guide to player valuation. The scoring system is performance PPR. Return each Tuesday for an update following the outcome of Monday Night Football, any new developments, and further review of situations. There is no exact science behind season-long rankings, considering all of the variables and situational uncertainties at work.

Tuesday Updates

RBs Rob Kelley and Matt Jones, Washington Redskins

Kelley will be the primary ballcarrier, while Jones is in the doghouse and is also dealing with a knee injury. This is a fluid situation, but Kelley should be the focus for now.

RBs Kapri Bibbs and Devontae Booker, Denver Broncos

Bibbs is more explosive and brings a different element to the passing game. Booker should remain heavily involved, but the touch split is much closer to 50-50 at this point.

RBs Christine Michael and C.J. Prosise, Seattle Seahawks

Michael wasn't able to get it going in Week 9 with a tough matchup and Buffalo putting the Seattle offense on its heels by forcing a lot more passing than usually preferred. Prosise was on the field regularly but was not involved as much in the passing game as hoped. This will be a weekly matchup situation.

RBs Derrick Henry and Antonio Andrews, Tennessee Titans

The rookie will miss a few weeks, which elevates Andrews to the top backup position behind bellcow DeMarco Murray.

WR Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins

Landry ranks 18th in fantasy points per game using PPR scoring, despite having scored only once this year. The Dolphins have a favorable passing schedule over the next month or so, but this is a power-running game with the success of Jay Ajayi. Defenses will adjust, and Landry will continue to be involved. He was downvalued a notch to account for the new ball-control offensive mindset.

Unsettled Situations

Dallas Cowboys Quarterbacks

What seems like the millionth time this year, I continue to believe Tony Romo will not see the field in 2016. I dropped him to the bottom of the quarterbacks, but since this situation technically hasn't been resolved, I will once again remind everyone of the obvious.

WR Jeremy Maclin, Kansas City Chiefs

The veteran showed slight signs of life with Nick Folk last week before aggravating a groin injury in Week 9. His situation will be monitored, but he was slightly lowered based on the anticipation of him missing a few games. If he misses time, Albert Wilson and Chris Conley should be more involved.

RBs Terrance West and Kenneth Dixon, Baltimore Ravens

So ... about this ongoing headache: They basically shared the chores and equally stunk in Week 9. The Browns come to town on Thursday, so both backs may find running room. I have a hard time getting excited about either one of them as anything more than a risky RB2 or flex.

WR Allen Hurns, Jacksonville Jaguars

Hurns briefly left in Week 9 due to an ankle injury before a concussion prematurely ended his day. I don't think he misses time, but it is worth watching.

WR Sammy Watkins, Buffalo Bills

Rex Ryan hopes to have Watkins back soon. I'm skeptical, but he remains ranked to keep him visible.

RBs Doug Martin and Peyton Barber, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are hopeful Martin returns in Week 10. Don't hold your breath. They have too much future money committed to Martin to outright turn to Barber without shutting down the vet. I don't see this as being an audition, unless the front office believes it can find an offseason trading partner for Martin. Anyway, Martin is fluidly ranked; any contributions this year should be considered a bonus.

Overall Player Movement

QB Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers Up

Big Ben isn't 100 percent, but it mainly was a harsh divisional matchup on the road that led to a mediocre fantasy day. The tough veteran has earned the benefit of the doubt that he will return to his pre-injury form and continue to play well.

RB Ryan Mathews, Philadelphia Eagles Down

It is painfully obvious that Mathews doesn't fit this season, and his role has regressed into that of a short-yardage guy. Darren Sproles will continue to see extra touches and cut into Mathews' time.

RB Paul Perkins, New York Giants Up

The rookie will see more time as long as he isn't a liability in pass protection. The Giants must figure out what they have in Perkins, and he may average double-digit touches the rest of the way.

WR Travis Benjamin, San Diego Chargers Down

A Grade 2 PCL sprain kept him from finishing, and understanding that injury suggests he has a minute chance of being himself again this fantasy season, assuming he even plays through it.

TE Eric Ebron, Detroit Lions Up

Ebron has played his way into the must-start category for PPR gamers. I'm somewhat surprised that the touchdowns haven't been there, but maybe Detroit will focus on this during the bye.

WR Marvin Jones Jr., Detroit Lions Down

Few players took a nosedive like Jones this week, falling from 12th down to 29th among his positional peers. He isn't creating enough separation against better corners, and Detroit has so many weapons that he isn't needed to be "the guy" on a weekly basis like Calvin Johnson.
