Alex Collins - RB - Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (illness) was unable to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Collins is a little green in the gills, so he was held out of practice. It's unlikely to be something which keeps him from playing in Week 3. So far Collins has not lived up to his sleeper fantasy status, turning in two stinkers to open the season. If he continues to make his fantasy owners sick with mediocre lines, Javorius Allen could continue to dig into his workload.
Dalvin Cook - RB - Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Cook has said he's fine, but apparently that didn't stop the Vikings coaching staff from taking it easy with their franchise running back. Expect Cook to be limited in the coming days and then play, but keep a close eye on him. He'll be a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 assuming he's active.
Paul Richardson - WR - Washington Redskins
Washington Redskins WR Paul Richardson (shoulder, knee) was unable to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19. He had an MRI on the shoulder and it didn't reveal anything serious.
Huddle Up: Richardson's status for Week 3 against the Packers is uncertain. Check back later in the week when the official injury designation is revealed on Friday. When healthy he is a decent WR4 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams.
Aaron Rodgers - QB - Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Rodgers was likely just being rested, as is typical for veterans in the middle of the week. He was rather limited in practice last week after his injury in the opener, and he played the entire Week 2 tie against the Minnesota Vikings. Barring any setbacks it's unlikely he'll be kept off the field in Week 3.
Leonard Fournette - RB - Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Fournette was dinged up in the Week 1 game and he missed the Week 2 showdown with the Patriots. It appears he is on track to return in Week 3, but we'll know more heading into Thursday and Friday. Check back later in the week when the official injury designations are given out before making a decision on Fournette against the Titans this weekend.
T.J. Yeldon - RB - Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) was unable to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Yeldon has been filling in and seeing more work with Leonard Fournette (hamstring) on the shelf. Fournette was able to practice on a limited basis, so he might be able to return in Week 3. Even if Yeldon can play, as long as Fournette is healthy, then Yeldon's fantasy appeal is rather limited.
Derrick Henry - RB - Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: The severity of Henry's ailment is not known, and he could just be resting as a precaution to get ready for Week 3. If he is limited or unavailable in the game on Sunday against the Jaguars, it would be Dion Lewis assuming a majority of the reps.
Marquise Goodwin - WR - San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (quadriceps) will be a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Goodwin is dealing with a quadriceps injury, so he'll take it easy during the week. Circle back around and check his official injury report status on Friday before deciding on him as a fantasy option for Week 3.
Giovani Bernard - RB - Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Bernard is expected to see a much bigger role this week with Joe Mixon on the shelf, and Tra Carson cut loose. The Bengals backfield is so banged up that they signed Thomas Rawls off the street, and he might be active. Circle back around Friday to check his official injury status before plugging him into your active lineup.
Evan Engram - TE - New York Giants
New York Giants TE Evan Engram (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Engram rebounded last week from an abysmal Week 1, but his problem is that he's not guaranteed targets any given week. With Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley all demanding looks, it will be difficult for Engram to duplicate his rookie year. Even so, he's a low-end TE1 candidate for Week 3.
Quincy Enunwa - WR - New York Jets
New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (thumb) practiced fully Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Enunwa looks to continue his surprising start to the season as Sam Darnold's go-to guy. He's a low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 option in Week 3.
Jarvis Landry - WR - Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (knee) is questionable for Week 3 after being limited in practice all week.
Huddle Up: Landry should play, but check in before kickoff tomorrow just to make sure. As long as he's not on a limited snap count then he needs to be in starting lineups.
Tre'Quan Smith - WR - New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith will be more involved in the offense going forward if head coach Sean Payton has his way. 'We've got to find ways to get him more touches,' Payton said. 'He's handling our installation. He knows what we're doing game plan-wise. And I think he's ready to prove that.'
Huddle Up: Drew Brees' first reads will almost always be to Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara, but the athletic rookie does deserve more attention after only being targeted twice in two games. We know the Saints will be throwing plenty all season, making Smith a worthwhile pickup.
Case Keenum - QB - Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum (knee) was not present for practice Wednesday, Sept. 19, as he nurses a sore knee, according to as source. His absence was a precaution and he will be back on the practice field Thursday, Sept. 20.
Huddle Up: It's nothing to be overly worried about unless Keenum aggravates the knee in the next couple of days. He's not a recommended start anyway versus the Baltimore Ravens.
Darren Sproles - RB - Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Sproles is unlikely to play this week as indicated by Josh Adams' promoted from the practice squad. Corey Clement will be in the RB2 conversation if Jay Ajayi sits, while Wendell Smallwood provides flex allure in deeper leagues.
Jay Ajayi - RB - Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi (back) was not able to practice Wednesday, Sept. 19, and is considered day-to-day.
Huddle Up: There was already speculation that Ajayi wouldn't be able to take the field this week, and he's not off to a good start. Corey Clement will make for a tremendous value play in a favorable matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if Ajayi is held out.
Kelvin Benjamin - WR - Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: Benjamin is Buffalo's top receiving threat, but that's really not saying much. He did score last week, but he's in arguably the most untrustworthy offenses in football and the matchup with the Minnesota Vikings is one of the toughest on the Week 3 slate. Starting him is folly.
LeSean McCoy - RB - Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (ribs) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Huddle Up: McCoy is probably headed for a questionable tag as he deals with cracked rib cartilage. Even if he plays he'll be up against the vaunted Minnesota Vikings defense. If he's eventually ruled out then Chris Ivory has flex appeal.
Ty Montgomery - RB - Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones will play behind RBs Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery in his return from a two-game suspension, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.
Huddle Up: Jones is arguably the most talented back on the Packers' roster, but he'll apparently need to earn his way back into a significant role. The other two haven't shined, but Williams is a quality pass blocker who can help keep Rodgers upright, for one. For the time being, Jones can stay on fantasy benches.
Jay Ajayi - RB - Philadelphia Eagles
Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi (back) is day to day.
Huddle Up: The team came out and said there's a good chance he'll miss Week 3. Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood would share the work if that's the case. Watch Ajayi's status through the week.
