Fantasy Football Breaking News

  • David Njoku - TE - Cleveland Browns
    Posted 12/13/18 11:41am ET

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 13, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Njoku has been targeted at least five times in three of the last five games but has been held to under 40 yards in three of the last four games. He can still be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues this week.

  • Quincy Enunwa - WR - New York Jets
    Posted 12/13/18 10:54am ET

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) on Thursday, Dec. 13, was ruled out of the team's Week 15 game with an ankle injury.

Huddle Up: Enunwa leads the Jets in targets (69) and receptions (38) so look for fellow wideouts Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse to see more looks Saturday against the Texans.

  • Larry Fitzgerald - WR - Arizona Cardinals
    Posted 12/13/18 10:37am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 13, after taking a rest day Wednesday.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald is fine and is a low-end flex consideration for the Week 15 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

  • David Johnson - RB - Arizona Cardinals
    Posted 12/13/18 10:29am ET

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson (quadriceps) returned to practice Thursday, Dec. 13, after sitting out the previous day.

Huddle Up: Johnson has had at least 19 touches in six straight games and should be good to go as a low-end RB1 for Sunday's matchup against the Falcons in Atlanta.

  • T.Y. Hilton - WR - Indianapolis Colts
    Posted 12/13/18 10:19am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (ankle) missed a second straight day of practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Hilton missed practices Wednesday and Thursday a week ago, was limited Friday and then caught 9-of-12 targets for 199 yards Sunday in a road win over the Texans. We'll see if the standout wideout can follow the same path in Week 15.

  • Julio Jones - WR - Atlanta Falcons
    Posted 12/13/18 9:51am ET

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (illness, foot, calf) was sent home from practice Thursday, Dec. 13, with an illness, head coach Dan Quinn said. Jones is expected to return Friday.

Huddle Up: Jones has missed a number of mid-week practices in recent seasons but has then played and put up big-time numbers on Sunday. And that's what Jones' fantasy owners are hoping for again in a Week 15 showdown with Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson.

  • Frank Gore - RB - Miami Dolphins
    Posted 12/13/18 9:38am ET

Miami Dolphins RB Frank Gore (non-injury) received a veteran's rest day off practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: While the veteran Gore continues to pace the Dolphins in rushing attempts on a weekly basis, Kenyan Drake continues to have a near monopoly on TDs and big plays and is the better fantasy option in the Miami backfield. Gore has one TD on the season and is a desperation flex play at best.

  • DeSean Jackson - WR - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    Posted 12/13/18 9:18am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (hand) was not at practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Seeing as Jackson can't squeeze a football yet, it's highly unlikely that he'll return this week. The Buccaneers face a tough test versus the Baltimore Ravens, so expectations for Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and the offense as a whole should be lowered.

  • Josh Gordon - WR - New England Patriots
    Posted 12/13/18 9:18am ET

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon is leading the league with his 18 yards per reception average since debuting for the team in Week 4.

Huddle Up: Gordon has had 70 yards and/or a TD in each of the last five games and is a rock-solid WR2 Week 15 play in what could develop into a shootout in Pittsburgh.

  • Quincy Enunwa - WR - New York Jets
    Posted 12/13/18 9:12am ET

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) missed practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Enunwa has not practiced this week and it would be a surprise if he wasn't listed as doubtful tomorrow prior to the Jets' game on Saturday. Keep him on your bench.

  • Isaiah Crowell - RB - New York Jets
    Posted 12/13/18 9:09am ET

New York Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (toe) is not practicing Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: That's three practices in a row Crowell has missed and the Jets play on Saturday. It appears he's likely headed for a doubtful status. If that is the case, Elijah McGuire will need to be viewed as a low-end PPR RB2 or flex.

  • Ezekiel Elliott - RB - Dallas Cowboys
    Posted 12/13/18 9:06am ET

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (shoulder) will return to practice Thursday, Dec. 13, after sitting out the previous day to rest his injured shoulder.

Huddle Up: Over the last six weeks, Elliott has racked up a league-most 176 touches and trails only the Panthers' Christian McCaffrey (192.4) with 167.1 PPR points during that span. The wear and tear may be starting to show somewhat, but you're going to keep rolling with Zeke as an elite RB1.

  • Carson Wentz - QB - Philadelphia Eagles
    Posted 12/13/18 7:56am ET

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) underwent a scan on his back, which was inconclusive, and he'll have an MRI Thursday, Dec. 13. The issue has plagued him for several weeks.

Huddle Up: He's unlikely to play against the Los Angeles Rams. Nick Foles has a good matchup, on paper, but he's a pretty volatile matchup play in a game he may have to throw the kitchen sink to stay in range.

  • Odell Beckham - WR - New York Giants
    Posted 12/13/18 7:35am ET

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 13. Head coach Pat Shurmur said Beckham would be evaluated outside of the building today.

Huddle Up: OBJ's status is in question this week, but he's an obvious start if he's fit to play.

  • Melvin Gordon - RB - Los Angeles Chargers
    Posted 12/13/18 6:21am ET

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) is 18 days into what was a two-to-four-week injury, and it'll be a challenge for him to play Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Even if he goes, he will be limited and at risk of reinjuring the knee. It's a huge game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but one has to wonder if it's worth the risk. Justin Jackson looks primed to be an RB2 option in fantasy.

  • Derrius Guice - RB - Washington Redskins
    Posted 12/12/18 11:08pm ET

Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice (knee) required three additional procedures following August surgery to repair his ACL due to an infection, all of which has slowed his rehab. Guice is no longer dealing with the infection, however, and still hopes to be ready for OTAs next summer.

Huddle Up: Guice's recovery will be a story to watch as he looked the part of a quality NFL back prior to injury. He's obviously a nice stash candidate in keeper leagues as well.

  • Jared Cook - TE - Oakland Raiders
    Posted 12/12/18 8:01pm ET

Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook hopefully will be a high priority for the Raiders to re-sign this offseason, according to head coach Jon Gruden.

Huddle Up: Cook is having the best season of his career and has posted back-to-back 100-yard games. He should be a weekly starting option for the rest of this season and likely will be a No. 1 tight end in drafts next season.

  • Spencer Ware - RB - Kansas City Chiefs
    Posted 12/12/18 6:52pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams is expected to be the starting running back for the Chiefs in Week 15 if RB Spencer Ware (hamstring, shoulder) is not able to play.

Huddle Up: Williams posted only 30 total yards on 12 touches in relief last week but had two touchdowns in that game. He would receive most of the work at running back if Ware is ruled out and could be at least a flex option for owners.

  • Chris Carson - RB - Seattle Seahawks
    Posted 12/12/18 5:12pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (non-injury) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: This is being done to manage Carson's reps, which is understandable given how he's established himself as the undisputed lead dog in Seattle's backfield. As a result, Carson should be fired up in all formats every week.

  • Rashaad Penny - RB - Seattle Seahawks
    Posted 12/12/18 5:04pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: Penny has received at least seven carries in four of the last five games and has two touchdowns during that span. He probably will see a similar workload this week if he plays but may not be a great fantasy option in most leagues.
