Fantasy Football Breaking News

  • Kerryon Johnson - RB - Detroit Lions
    Posted 11/11/18 6:04am ET

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson (ankle) is expected to play in Week 10's game against the Chicago Bears, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Johnson was listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week. He should still be viewed as an RB2 in most formats even though Theo Riddick's presence means Johnson will be less involved in passing situations.

  • Sammy Watkins - WR - Kansas City Chiefs
    Posted 11/11/18 5:57am ET

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) will likely be held out of Week 10's game versus the Arizona Cardinals as a precautionary measure, according to multiple sources. He is expected to return against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Watkins was listed as questionable on the injury report but only participated in one practice session during the week on a limited basis. WRs Chris Conley and Demarcus Robinson could see additional targets in Watkins' absence, with Conley worthy of consideration as a flex option in deeper fantasy leagues due to the favorable matchup.

  • Jakeem Grant - WR - Miami Dolphins
    Posted 11/11/18 5:40am ET

Miami Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant (Achilles') is expected to play in Week 10's game against the Green Bay Packers, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Grant was listed as questionable on the injury report and logged two partial practice sessions and one full session during the week. Despite increased involvement in the Miami offense over the past few weeks, he has not posted great numbers and can be avoided in most fantasy formats.

  • Rob Gronkowski - TE - New England Patriots
    Posted 11/10/18 10:17pm ET

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) flew with the team as it prepares to play the Tennessee Titans in Week 10, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Although Gronkowski is listed as questionable on the injury report, he is not expected to go. For what it's worth, he did not fly with the team to Chicago to face the Bears in Week 7 when his back spasms first flared up. The smart play for the Patriots is to use their Week 11 bye to give their tight end the better part of four weeks to get as healthy as possible. As such, owners should have another option ready Sunday, as it is extremely likely New England would limit his snaps even if he is active.

  • David Njoku - TE - Cleveland Browns
    Posted 11/10/18 9:26pm ET

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee, ribs) is expected to play against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Njoku has carved out a steady role in the offense, delivering at least 50 receiving yards in five of his last six games. He's a TE1 candidate against Atlanta.

  • Larry Fitzgerald - WR - Arizona Cardinals
    Posted 11/10/18 7:36pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald faces the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10, and the Chiefs have allowed the most receiving yards in the NFL this season.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald is building some momentum with Josh Rosen, scoring in back-to-back games and topping 100 yards the last time out. The Cardinals will likely be playing from behind against Kansas City, which should at least make Fitzgerald a volume-based WR3.

  • Tyler Boyd - WR - Cincinnati Bengals
    Posted 11/10/18 7:26pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 10 with WR A.J. Green (foot) ruled out, and the Saints have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards and the sixth-most receiving touchdowns this season.

Huddle Up: Boyd is in the middle of a career year, and while he is going to draw more attention with Green sidelined, he should also see even more targets. He should at least be a WR3 against the vulnerable secondary of the Saints.

  • Tevin Coleman - RB - Atlanta Falcons
    Posted 11/10/18 7:13pm ET

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman faces the Cleveland Browns in Week 10, and the Browns have allowed an NFL-high 14 rushing touchdowns this season.

Huddle Up: Coleman has four touchdowns in the last three games coming into Week 10, and he has a golden opportunity to add to the total against Cleveland. He can be a high-end RB2, especially in PPR formats.

  • Jordan Howard - RB - Chicago Bears
    Posted 11/10/18 7:03pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard has scored at least one touchdown in three straight games heading into a Week 10 matchup with the Detroit Lions, and the Lions are allowing the second-most yards per rush in the NFL.

Huddle Up: The yardage hasn't been there for Howard this year, and he has topped 70 yards rushing just twice. That being said, the juicy matchup and his role near the goal line make him a solid RB2 option.

  • DeSean Jackson - WR - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    Posted 11/10/18 6:41pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson said he would 'be lying' if he said he was happy with his current situation. 'I can't say I'm as happy not winning, not being productive,' Jackson said.

Huddle Up: Jackson only has one touchdown in the last six games, but with his big-play ability, he can still be considered a boom-or-bust flex option.

  • Le'Veon Bell - RB - Pittsburgh Steelers
    Posted 11/10/18 6:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is unlikely to report by the deadline Tuesday, Nov. 13, according to multiple sources, which would make him ineligible to play for the remainder of the season.

Huddle Up: If true, James Conner owners will no longer have to worry about Bell crashing the party. All Bell owners can do is wait until Tuesday and hope the reports turn out to be false.

  • Matt Barkley - QB - Cincinnati Bengals
    Posted 11/10/18 1:05pm ET

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) has been ruled out of the Week 10 game. QB Matt Barkley is expected to be the starting quarterback against the New York Jets.

Huddle Up: Allen is working his way back from the elbow injury but is probably a week away from returning. Barkley should not be a starting option in any league.

  • Pierre Garcon - WR - San Francisco 49ers
    Posted 11/10/18 12:26pm ET

San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garcon (knee) is not participating in practice Saturday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: Owners should know more about Garcon's status in the near future. He will be a risky option since the 49ers play on Monday Night Football, so owners may want to bench him even if he is active for the game.

  • George Kittle - TE - San Francisco 49ers
    Posted 11/10/18 12:21pm ET

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (chest) is participating in practice Saturday, Nov. 10, in a non-contact jersey but is still expected to play in the Week 10 game.

Huddle Up: Kittle has been one of the better tight ends in the NFL and should have a favorable matchup if he plays. He should be a starting option in all leagues if he is active.

  • Rob Gronkowski - TE - New England Patriots
    Posted 11/10/18 11:58am ET

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is traveling with the team for their Week 10 game, according to a source. He is still listed as questionable to play and is not expected to be active.

Huddle Up: Owners can check out the inactive list to see if Gronkowski is playing, but the team probably will hold him out so he can have two more weeks to rest. Owners in all leagues should look for other options to use in their lineups.

  • Dez Bryant - WR - New Orleans Saints
    Posted 11/10/18 10:22am ET

New Orleans Saints WR Dez Bryant (Achilles') was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: Tre'Quan Smith should continue to receive a solid amount of targets with Bryant out and can be at least a flex option for owners.

  • Jamison Crowder - WR - Washington Redskins
    Posted 11/10/18 10:15am ET

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) has been ruled out of the team's Week 10 game.

Huddle Up: Josh Doctson and Maurice Harris should both see a solid amount of targets with Crowder sidelined and could both be flex option in some fantasy leagues.

  • Dez Bryant - WR - New Orleans Saints
    Posted 11/10/18 9:57am ET

New Orleans Saints WR Dez Bryant's (Achilles) MRI confirmed a torn Achilles' tendon, and he is expected to be sidelined for around eight months, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Bryant may be ready for a training camp next season but will need to find a new team during the offseason. He may only be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy receiver if he plays next season.

  • Rob Gronkowski - TE - New England Patriots
    Posted 11/10/18 9:38am ET

Updating previous reports, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) will not play in the team's Week 10 game, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Dwayne Allen likely will receive the start at tight end with Gronkowski sidelined but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Sony Michel - RB - New England Patriots
    Posted 11/10/18 9:22am ET

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) is expected to be available to play in the Week 10 game.

Huddle Up: Michel likely will receive most of the carries in the running game and could also see a few targets in the passing game. He can be a No. 2 running back in most fantasy leagues this week.
