Pittsburgh Steelers LB Jarvis Jones will start at right outside linebacker in Week 16 with LB LaMarr Woodley (calf) out. Jones has only one sack this year in his rookie season.
Huddle Up: Jones has played in 13 games, starting 7 of them, but the first-round pick has definitely been a disappointment with 27 total tackles and the 1 sack so don't expect a sudden reversal of fortune now that he's back in the starting lineup.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau said he was optimistic about LB Jarvis Jones' (concussion) chances of playing in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. Jones was cleared to participate in an 'exercise challenge' Thursday, Oct. 17, as part of the league-wide protocol to deal with concussions.
Huddle Up: Sounds as good as could be hoped with the rookie but continue to monitor his status throughout the weekend.

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers LB Jarvis Jones (chest) has been ruled out of the team's final preseason game.
Huddle Up: Despite leaving the team's third preseason strapped to a stretcher, the first-round pick essentially only had the wind knocked out of him. He'll miss the exhibition finale as a precautionary measure with the short turnaround, but should be just fine for the regular season opener come a week from Sunday.

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers LB Jarvis Jones (chest) was released from the hospital and undisclosed tests were negative.
Huddle Up: The first-round draft pick, who has stood out this preseason, was hurt on a hit as he returned an interception, and while this is a temporary setback, he's still battling veteran Jason Worilds for the team's starting ROLB spot.

Pittsburgh Steelers LB Jarvis Jones is standing out early in the preseason, and he recovered a fumble in the team's first preseason game last weekend. Jones has made highlight reel plays during training camp since the start. However, he currently sits behind LB Jason Worilds on the depth chart at right outside linebacker.
Huddle Up: The former Georgia standout has been a serious candidate for IDP of the Year honors, and camp and preseason so far are only serving to confirm it. It will be a mild surprise if Worilds can hold him off.
