Charles Johnson | WR | Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings WR Charles X. Johnson is 'far and away our best receiver,' according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner. Johnson emerged as QB Teddy Bridgewater's No. 1 target in the second half of last season, ending with 31 catches for 475 yards. Turner has high hopes for Johnson in 2015 with his knee injury even further behind him.
Huddle Up: Turner's praise of Johnson could be viewed as a bit of a veiled shot at underachieving former first-rounder Cordarrelle Patterson. It could also be a way to let the fans know the team likes its wideouts and won't necessarily pick one in the first round. Or, it could be a smokescreen, as so much pre-draft chatter is. But hey, if you own Johnson in a dynasty league at least it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Minnesota Vikings WR Charles Johnson has now moved into WR Cordarrelle Patterson's role as the second receiver, according to offensive coordinator Norv Turner. 'CJ is playing at a high level,' Turner said. 'CJ is the starter at X (receiver). That's the position Cordarrelle plays. We're going to do what we can to give him some opportunities to play there, but CJ's playing at a real high level right now.'
Huddle Up: Talk about players headed in opposite directions: Johnson has 11 catches for 180 yards and a TD over the last three games while Patterson has four grabs for 42 yards and no scores. Johnson and Greg Jennings -- in that order -- are the Vikings' WRs you want right now.

The Cleveland Browns have placed WR Charles X. Johnson, OT Martin Wallace and OG Karim Barton on no-recall waivers. The Browns also claimed WR LaRon Byrd off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys
Huddle Up: Johnson, appeared on a few early sleeper lists after a strong start to camp, but the buzz quickly faded. Now, the three wideouts currently listed behind starters Miles Austin and Andrew Hawkins are Byrd, Travis Benjamin and Gabriel Taylor. Yikes!
