Free-agent WR Jacoby Jones (Chargers) was claimed by the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday, Nov. 5. To make room for Jones, the Steelers released RB Dri Archer.
Huddle Up: The Steelers -- and not their AFC North rivals the Ravens -- have landed Jones, but his main role for the time being figures to be replacing Archer as the team's kick returner.

The San Diego Chargers released WR Jacoby Jones Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Huddle Up: It would've stood to reason that Jones was due for more opportunities with fellow wideout Keenan Allen being placed on injured reserve earlier in the day, but the Bolts decided instead to waive the disappointing wideout after Tuesday's trade deadline for financial considerations -- any team claiming him off waiver will have to pick up the balance of his $900K salary -- and will move on at the position. One possible landing spot for Jones is his former team in Baltimore, which also is in need of WR help with leading receiver Steve Smith Sr. going down with a season-ending Achilles tear Sunday.

San Diego Chargers WR Jacoby Jones isn't relying on his previous success with the Baltimore Ravens as he gets set for his first preseason game with the Chargers Thursday, Aug. 13. 'I just want to get out there and play my role. Whatever I've got to bring to the table, I'm going to bring it. Whenever they call my name to make a play, I'll make it. And I've got my first celebration planned. I always have them ready. I've been thinking about them from the day I signed,' said Jones.
Huddle Up: Jones only had nine catches for 131 yards last season with the Ravens, making it easy to forget he's been added to Philip Rivers' arsenal. He's also been overshadowed by the anticipation of a rebound season from Keenan Allen and the late-round sleeper love being shown to Stevie Johnson.

Free-agent WR Jacoby Jones (Ravens) signed a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers Friday, March 6, per a league source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Jones doesn't figure make much an impact at WR after catching a six-year low nine passes for 131 yards last season in Baltimore, but he will immediately boost the Bolts' special teams as one of two players last season to finish among the league's top-10 kickoff and punt returners.

Baltimore Ravens WR Jacoby Jones was released Wednesday, Feb. 25.
Huddle Up: Jones was a quality return man and occasional passing game contributor for the Ravens, who may have some serious revamping to do at the wide receiver position this offseason--especially if Torrey Smith joins Jones as an ex-Raven.
