Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera thinks WR Brandon LaFell
(toe) is the most likely of the team's injured players to return in
Week 15.
Huddle Up: LaFell was coming on before getting injured in Week 13, posting a
combined 8 catches for 167 yards and 2 TDs in Weeks 11 & 12. If he's
able to go Sunday, he could pick up where he left off with Cam
Newton's current roll as one of fantasy's hottest QBs.

Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (turf toe) was limping noticeably Thursday, Dec. 6. LaFell said part of the bone was chipped but the main issue was the turf toe.
Huddle Up: LaFell is officially listed as questionable for Week 14, but reading between the lines, it sounds like Week 15 might be a more reasonable target for a return.

Carolina Panthers interim general manager Brandon Beane said WR Brandon LaFell is dealing with turf toe and is questionable against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14. The team remains hopeful that he'll be able to suit up.
Huddle Up: Turf toe usually isn't an injury you can force the issue with, but see what develops the rest of the week.

Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell is dealing with a sprained foot, according to head coach Ron Rivera.
Huddle Up: LaFell was injured Sunday against the Chiefs and finished with only 2 catches for 14 yards. LaFell had scoring receptions in each of the previous 2 games. See what LaFell can do in practice this week before making concrete lineup decisions.

Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (ankle) underwent an MRI Monday, Dec. 3, after suffering an ankle injury in the third quarter of the team's Week 13 game. The team is still waiting for the results from the MRI.
Huddle Up: Lafell has really come on as of late but injury may slow him down. We'll update.

Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (head) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 1.
Huddle Up: LaFell passed concussion tests in Week 8's game at Chicago but now has sat out the team's first 2 practices of the week. What he's able (or unable) to do Friday likely will determine his status for Sunday.

Carolina Panthers WR Brandon LaFell (head) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Huddle Up: Interesting to see whether LaFell plays or not this week. He has been up and down this season, but he is the No. 2 receiver on that offense. Louis Murphy would likely replace him in the starting lineup, and he gets a nice matchup against the Redskins this week.

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said Thursday, Aug. 2, that he's been impressed with WR Brandon LaFell and that he has a strong hold on the team's No.2 receiver role.
Huddle Up: LaFell was the favorite to start opposite Steve Smith in Carolina, but there hasn't been a ton of fantasy value to that role in the past so temper your expectations accordingly.

The Carolina Panthers would like to see WR Brandon LaFell starting in Week 1 but he has not been guaranteed the job. LaFell is expected to compete with WR David Gettis for the starting job if Gettis is healthy during training camp.
Huddle Up: It seems like the Panthers always have a talented college stud (Keary Colbert, Dwayne Jarrett) that can't deliver at the pro level. LaFell's hype meter is rising as Coach Ron Rivera gives the Charlotte media their puff pieces. "I think his rapport with Cam is developing very quickly," Rivera said. "That's what we need, that other guy [across from Steve Smith] to step up and be that other guy that's going to stretch the defenses that we face."

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera is confident about WR Brandon LaFell heading into 2012. "I feel very confident about Brandon. The one thing I didn't want to do last year, I wanted to keep the carrot in front of Brandon," Rivera said. "I didn't want him to feel like he's arrived."
Huddle Up: Cam Newton could use a target opposite Steve Smith, and the Panthers didn't add much to compete with LaFell so they're backing up their talk with actions. If you're not concerned about a sophomore slump from Newton, LaFell makes an intriguing sleeper fantasy pick.
