Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III was 18-for-27 for 236 yards and a touchdown in the team's loss to the New York Giants in Week 15, and head coach Jay Gruden is unsure if Griffin will start again in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Gruden wants to watch film and learn more about QB Colt McCoy's (neck) injury. '(Griffin) is obviously in the mix,' Gruden said. 'He came out here and competed, which I liked. Made some good throws and made some great plays with his legs, but from a consistent standpoint, the production on third downs and the lack of production in the second half (offensively) was concerning. I'll have to check the film to give him a total grade.' McCoy headed for the locker room after the first series of the game.
Huddle Up: Washington faces a porous Eagles pass defense this week but McCoy and Griffin would be nothing more than a desperation start for Fantasy Super Bowls.

Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (neck) practiced in full and took all the first-team repetitions Friday, Dec. 12, but he's listed as questionable for Week 15 against the New York Giants. McCoy must first be cleared by a specialist before playing in Week 15.
Huddle Up: It's looking very much like McCoy will start Sunday in N.Y., but definitely double-check to make sure he gets final medical clearance.

Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (neck) will start in Week 15 if he's cleared to play by the doctors, according to head coach Jay Gruden. McCoy was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 11 for the second straight day. QB Robert Griffin III likely would start if McCoy is not able to play.
Huddle Up: Reading between the lines, it sounds like McCoy has convinced the coaches he's well enough to start, and all that's needed is a medical green light. We should gain some clarity Friday.

Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (neck) said he is making good progress in his rehab from a neck injury. He was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 10 said the injury does not affect his throwing motion and that he can't make the injury worse if he plays.
Huddle Up: Washington's starting QB decision for Sunday remains up in the air, and we'll see what the rest of the practice week reveals.

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III would start if QB Colt McCoy (neck) is unable to play. McCoy suffered a neck strain in Week 14.
Huddle Up: McCoy is still getting evaluated but if he can't play against the Giants on Sunday Griffin will be back under center. RG3 is no more than a lower-end QB2 at this point though.

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (neck) left the Week 14 game against the St. Louis Rams in the fourth quarter due to a neck injury. He was taken to an offsite medical facility for further tests, a team official said Sunday, Dec. 7.
Huddle Up: McCoy's status will be updated further on Monday. Robert Griffin finished up the game Sunday against the Rams. If McCoy is injured, RG3 could be back under center versus the Giants in Week 15.

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said Sunday, Nov. 30, that QB Colt McCoy will remain the starting quarterback heading into Week 14.
Huddle Up: McCoy has clearly outplayed Robert Griffin this season. However, McCoy won't be a fantasy option against a tough Rams defense in Week 14.

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III has officially been benched in favor of QB Colt McCoy in Week 13. Head coach Jay Gruden informed the team Wednesday, Nov. 26. However, Griffin still appears to be part of the team's long-term plan, another source said Tuesday.
Huddle Up: RG3 has struggled this season; it's going to take time and reps in Jay Gruden's offense for him to get comfortable, and right now the team would rather take a shot at maybe winning a game with McCoy at the helm than hopefully developing Griffin into the quarterback he can be in this offense. So any talk of an actual long-term plan in Washington is laughable.

The Washington Redskins are planning to start QB Colt McCoy in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts in place of struggling QB Robert Griffin III, according to a team source.
Huddle Up: Things are a mess in D.C. -- and we're not just talking politics. McCoy did, however, lead the Skins to their last win -- a 20-17 victory in Dallas in Week 8 -- throwing for 299 yards and rushing for 16 yards and a TD in his lone start, so this should be a welcome fantasy change for the team's pass-catchers. (Hey, it can't get much worse). Meanwhile, the question is whether RGIII has made his last start for Washington.

Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy would start this week if QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) is unable to play, according to head coach Jay Gruden.
Huddle Up: Griffin will be put through some tests Wednesday to see where he's at in his recovery, but his return likely remains a few weeks away. That means McCoy, who was 11-of-12 for 128 yards and a TD in relief Sunday, will make his first start since 2011 next Monday night in Dallas.

The Washington Redskins signed free-agent QB Colt McCoy (49ers) to an undisclosed deal Thursday, April 3. Washington now has three quarterbacks on roster in McCoy and QBs Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins.
Huddle Up: McCoy, who attempted 1 pass last season as the backup in San Fran, could soon find himself in the No. 2 role as the Cousins trade rumors continue to circulate.
