New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount completed his 50 hours of community service, and his drug charge from earlier this season in Pittsburgh has been withdrawn, according to his attorney.
Huddle Up: One less distraction -- if it really was ever much of one -- for Blount who has truly had an all or nothing postseason run with the Patriots the last two seasons. In two playoff games against the Colts, Blount has rushed for 314 yards and 7 TDs on 54 carries; in his other two games, against the Broncos and Ravens, he's totaled 7 yards and no scores on eight rushes.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in the team's win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 18. 'He makes contact on every play and seems to enjoy it. He's like a boxer throwing body punches. Eventually, he wears guys down and starts breaking those big runs,' OG Ryan Wendell said. Blount played 42 offensive snaps in the game, passing his previous season high of 30. He also ran for 69 yards after contact against the Colts, according to ESPN Stats and Information.
Huddle Up: Blount has become the clear No. 1 back in N.E. on a team that has long mixed and matched RBs and will be the poor man's Marshawn Lynch in the upcoming Super Bowl.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 166 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional matchup between the two teams in 2013, and RB Jonas Gray slashed Indy for 201 yards on the ground this past November. The Patriots used an offense that featured a power-back look with a sixth offensive lineman against the Colts in November. 'As a defensive player, you don't want to ever have that happen again,' Colts DE Cory Redding said. 'We didn't have our best game. It's up to us to do what we've done the past few weeks, to make sure that never happens again.' New England rushed for just 14 total yards in their divisional win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend, but they pretty much abandoned the run in the second half.
Huddle Up: You can never quite be sure what you're going to see from the chameleon-esque Pats, but it's pretty safe to assume you'll see a few more than 13 rushing attempts given the Colts' clear defensive strength lies with their pass defense.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (illness) was removed from the team's injury report Thursday, Jan. 8.
Huddle Up: Blount should be good to go for Saturday's wild-card tilt, but the matchups certainly aren't in his favor as the opposing Ravens allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs during the regular season while allowing the fifth-most points to WRs.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 24.
Huddle Up: Blount may well return after sitting out Week 16 but likely wouldn't see too much work even if he does with the Patriots' having already locked up the AFC's No. 1 seed.

New England Patriots RBs LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) and Shane Vereen (ankle) both were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 19, and are questionable for Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: It's New England where every nicked and bruised player is limited and questionable so count on having the two RBs available as normal. However, figuring out which Pats' RB gets the most work, however, is another issue entirely.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount will have his marijuana possession charge in Pittsburgh dropped if he serves 50 hours of community service by February. Blount could still receive a punishment from the NFL once his case is resolved, according to his attorney.
Huddle Up: It appears as if the RB will be able to finish out the season without any kind of suspension or the like, but who really knows when it comes to league discipline these days? Just something to keep in the back of your mind if you're counting on Blount down the stretch.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount carried 12 times for a team-high 78 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions after re-signing with the team this week.
Huddle Up: Jonas Gray didn't play a snap after arriving late for practice earlier in the week. Blount played mainly late in the game when the Patriots were nursing a lead but still performed well. He should be targeted on the waiver this week.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount was not signed by the team to replace RB Jonas Gray as the between-the-tackles runner. Blount's presence gives the team another tough inside runner in the potentially poor-weather weeks ahead.
Huddle Up: Blount was also a standout kick returner during last season's playoffs, so he provides multiple ways in which he can help the Patriots. Those who just threw all their remaining FAAB at Gray, however, can sleep a little more soundly with word that Blount won't be swiping Gray's role. Because when has Bill Belichick ever not disclosed the full truth to fantasy owners?

The New England Patriots signed free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount (Steelers) to a two-year deal for the veteran's minimum plus incentives Thursday, Nov. 20.
Huddle Up: The Patriots get back their former free agent just in time for the playoffs. His arrival could negatively impact new fantasy stud Jonas Gray, however.

Free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount (Steelers) went unclaimed on waivers Wednesday, Nov. 19, and is now an unrestricted free agent available to sign with any club.
Huddle Up: Blount will probably land with a team in the near future but the fact that no organization was willing to use a waiver claim on him says something. For now, Blount has no fantasy value.

Free-agent RBs Ben Tate (Browns) and LeGarrette Blount (Steelers) aren't expected to draw interest from the Denver Broncos. It is late into the season and is tough for a new running back to learn a Peyton Manning-led system.
Huddle Up: It's C.J. Anderson's gig for now, and Ronnie Hillman (foot) and Montee Ball (groin) are expected back in a few weeks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers released RB LeGarrette Blount on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Huddle Up: Blount didn't receive a single carry Monday night for the first game this season while Le'Veon Bell was tearing up the Titans with 33 rushes for 204 yards, and he reportedly left the field in disgust before the game was over. The Steelers, however, displayed their disgust by making the move Tuesday and likely are now in the market for another back as rookie Dri Archer is currently the only RB listed behind Bell on the depth chart.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB LeGarrette Blount is being used in a variety of ways during practice. He has been lined up in the slot, flanked outside and has been in some two-back sets with RB Le'Veon Bell.
Huddle Up: Interesting development in Pittsburgh. We've already heard how Dri Archer is the second coming of Jamaal Charles, and now Blount is being moved all over the field. Add Bell to the mix and the Steelers have an abundance of talent in the backfield--and a finite number of touches to spread amongst the three.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB LeGarrette Blount is expected to receive six to eight carries per game behind RB Le'Veon Bell.
Huddle Up: It appears Blount's main fantasy value will be as a handcuff to Bell, who did miss 3 games as a rookie last season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed RB LeGarrette Blount to a two-year, $3.85 million deal, which includes a $950,000 signing bonus.
Huddle Up: This isn't ideal for either Blount's fantasy prospects or those of incumbent Steeler back Le'Veon Bell, though it's indicative of the league's overall move towards two-headed backfields. While both are capable of putting up solid fantasy numbers, sharing the workload puts a cap on both of their values.

Free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount (Patriots) will meet with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert Friday, March 28, at the league meetings. Initially, he was scheduled to meet with the team Sunday, March 23, and Monday, March 24.
Huddle Up: Blount, who opened eyes with his 166-yard, 4-TD divisional-round playoff outburst, would be a good fit as a No. 2 back in the Steel City, but there's obviously still some details to work out.
