LeGarrette Blount | RB | Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers RB LeGarrette Blount is being used in a variety of ways during practice. He has been lined up in the slot, flanked outside and has been in some two-back sets with RB Le'Veon Bell.
Huddle Up: Interesting development in Pittsburgh. We've already heard how Dri Archer is the second coming of Jamaal Charles, and now Blount is being moved all over the field. Add Bell to the mix and the Steelers have an abundance of talent in the backfield--and a finite number of touches to spread amongst the three.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB LeGarrette Blount is expected to receive six to eight carries per game behind RB Le'Veon Bell.
Huddle Up: It appears Blount's main fantasy value will be as a handcuff to Bell, who did miss 3 games as a rookie last season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed RB LeGarrette Blount to a two-year, $3.85 million deal, which includes a $950,000 signing bonus.
Huddle Up: This isn't ideal for either Blount's fantasy prospects or those of incumbent Steeler back Le'Veon Bell, though it's indicative of the league's overall move towards two-headed backfields. While both are capable of putting up solid fantasy numbers, sharing the workload puts a cap on both of their values.

Free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount (Patriots) will meet with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert Friday, March 28, at the league meetings. Initially, he was scheduled to meet with the team Sunday, March 23, and Monday, March 24.
Huddle Up: Blount, who opened eyes with his 166-yard, 4-TD divisional-round playoff outburst, would be a good fit as a No. 2 back in the Steel City, but there's obviously still some details to work out.

The New England Patriots are not expected to make a long-term offer to impending free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount this offseason.
Huddle Up: Even if playoff hero Blount were to depart, the Patriots would still have Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen to handle backfield duties. It's extremely likely Blount gets a substantially larger offer in free agency than New England would be willing to cough up.

The Miami Dolphins may pursue free-agent RB LeGarrette Blount (Patriots) this offseason.
Huddle Up: Adding Blount would be a double-shot for the Dolphins: stripping a division rival of a key player (though Stevan Ridley is a quality fallback plan for New England) while adding a power back to team with Lamar Miller. It's an intriguing possibility to keep an eye on when the NFL hits free agency.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount received 26 offensive snaps during the Divisional Round playoff game while RB Shane Vereen received 24 snaps and Stevan Ridley received 23 snaps.
Huddle Up: Despite the snap-count equality, Blount -- with 8 rushing TDs over the Patriots' last 3 games -- is clearly the N.E. back you want in playoff fantasy matchups. Ridley had a pair of rushing scores Saturday night, while Vereen (5 rushes-17 yards; 2 catches-16 yards) had a disappointing playoff outing.

New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount has been more decisive in his running and kept his shoulders lower lately, whereas he used to run more upright and attempted to dance by defenders. Head coach Bill Belichick recently recommended the different style of running, and Blount has broken off big chunks of yardage since then.
Huddle Up: Blount has led the Pats in rushing in each of the last 3 games but that's still only amounted to 133 yards and 1 TD over that span. If you could count on him for more carries, though, it could be a different story.

New England Patriots RB Shane Vereen received the most snaps among the running backs Week 13 with 41 snaps and was used in several different formations. RB LeGarrette Blount played 20 snaps during the game while Brandon Bolden was on the field for nine offensive snaps.
Huddle Up: Outside Vereen, the Patriots backfield is a disaster waiting to happen in your fantasy lineups.

New England Patriots FB James Develin received some carries in third-and-short situations during the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 16, and his ability in short-yardage situations could make RB LeGarrette Blount expendable. Head coach Bill Belichick said Develin has performed well during training camp.
Huddle Up: There's a definite youth movement afoot on the Pats' offense, and it would be no surprise if Blount is a roster casualty particularly being a veteran far down on the depth chart.
