Denver Broncos LB Von Miller (shoulder) withdrew from the Pro Bowl due to a shoulder injury, but he said Wednesday, Dec. 30, that he doesn't expect to miss any additional time and he will not require surgery. 'I withdrew from the Pro Bowl because of my left shoulder,' Miller said. He said the injury is something he has dealt with ever since his first regular-season game with the team, although he hasn't missed any game time in two NFL seasons. He plans to rest and rehab the injury during the offseason.
Huddle Up: While Miller's 18.5 sacks garnered the most attention, the LB took major strides in becoming a more complete all-around player in 2012. Look for the progress to continue in 2013 as Miller enters his third season.

Denver Broncos LB Von Miller showed he was a high-level pass rusher in his rookie campaign last season. Entering this season, the team expects Miller to evolve into a complete defender. Miller showed promise as a run-stopper last season even though he was taken out of the game on some rushing downs. 'Absolutely, he is coming on as a complete player,' head coach John Fox said. 'He showed signs last season. He's already very good in everything he does.'
Huddle Up: The 2011 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year also was an IDP sack stud, finishing with 11.5 and 3 forced fumbles. Look for his tackle numbers (51 in '11) to increase this season.
