The San Diego Chargers are taking things slowly with WR Vincent Brown during organized team activities because he is working his way back from a serious ankle injury. He said he is completely recovered from the injury but understands why the team is being cautious. He expects to be ready for the start of training camp.
Huddle Up: Brown was a popular sleeper pick heading into last season, and if he's on the field at the start of training camp he'll likely be in a similar situation as the San Diego receiver rotation remains unsettled.

San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said the team has high hopes for WR Vincent Brown. McCoy said Brown is a great route runner and very disciplined at what he does.
Huddle Up: After some definite flashes as a rookie in 2011, Brown was being counted on last summer but a pre-season broken ankle wound up scuttling his whole season. As a result, he might be overlooked in some fantasy leagues and could be a late-round draft find.

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown (ankle) is not expected to play in the final two weeks of the season even though he is returning to practice.
Huddle Up: It's turned out to be a total loss of a season for Brown, who was a popular preseason sleeper pick. Now he'll be a super-deep sleeper for 2013.

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown (ankle) said he likely will not be able to play this season. He has been rehabbing the broken ankle he suffered in the preseason and has been running routes and making cuts.
Huddle Up: For those of you in deep league still holding out hope for a postseason boost from Brown, it's time to examine other options.

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown (ankle) is making 'good progress,' according to head coach Norv Turner. 'Over the next three or four weeks, that whole process should speed up,' Turner said Friday, Nov. 9.
Huddle Up: Positive news for the Chargers, but it likely will be too late for many fantasy owners who have held onto Brown with visions of late-season contributions.

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown (ankle) got some work in on the side Monday, Nov. 5, and was not wearing a cast or boot. Brown is still not close to returning.
Huddle Up: QB Philip Rivers the Bolts could use some WR help, but it doesn't sound like Brown will be of help any time soon. He's still worth holding onto, though, in deep leagues if you can spare the roster spot.

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown (ankle) is not ready to return to practice at this point and could miss at least four more weeks. Head coach Norv Turner said Brown is in the middle of his rehab but is making good progress.
Huddle Up: Considering he may not see the field before just before the fantasy playoffs, Brown shouldn't be a part of any fantasy GM's plans.

The San Diego Chargers placed WR Vincent Brown (ankle) on Injured
Reserve Tuesday, Sept. 4, and designated him to return later this
season.
Huddle Up: The Chargers really liked the way Brown was coming on before he
broke his ankle in Week 2 of the preseason, and he's definitely a
player to keep on your fantasy radar for the second half of the
season.

The San Diego Chargers have said WR Vincent Brown (ankle) will miss roughly five games with a broken ankle.
Huddle Up: Brown broke his ankle in the Chargers' Week 2 preseason game. He wasn't expected to start but was definitely in the rotation with Robert Meachem and Malcom Floyd and considered a popular fantasy sleeper. Now he's looking like more of a midseason replacement or late-round draft-day stash.

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown (ankle)
suffered a broken left ankle in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 18. He is
expected to miss at least eight weeks, which means he will be sidelined until at
least Week 6 of the regular season most likely. Brown is scheduled for surgery
Sunday, Aug. 19.
Huddle Up: Brown, entering his second year, was being counted on as a key part of the San
Diego passing offense with the offeseason departure of top wideout Vincent
Jackson, but those plans are on hold until the second half of the season. The Bolts
will now have to lean on holdover Malcom Floyd and offseason signees Robert
Meachem and Eddie Royal, slightly bumping up their fantasy values along with
that of TE Antonio Gates.

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Brown, a second-year receiver, feels much more comfortable in the system this year. He felt the lockout hurt him last season in his transition to the NFL. 'This offseason, being with the guys and being familiar with the offense, it's been an easier transition and it's helped me trying to make plays,' Brown said. Head coach Norv Turner said Brown has grown up since last year. 'He's had a great offseason, he's in the middle of having an outstanding training camp, and he obviously is a playmaker so he's a guy that's going to figure real strongly in what we do,' Turner said.
Huddle Up: The buzz surrounding Brown has not gone away this preseason. Despite the acquisition of Robert Meachem, Brown has continued to impress after some solid appearances as a rookie. He should start the season as the Chargers' WR3, but Malcom Floyd is injury prone and Meachem has been plagued by inconsistency all his career.

San Diego Chargers second-year WR Vincent Brown consistently stood out during the team's workouts Tuesday, May 29. He had a one-handed grab downfield and looked as good as one can for wearing shorts and a shell at this time of the year.
Huddle Up: We heard the same pre-camp fluff about Brown last year and nothing happened. However, this year Brown is a year wiser and he's got a chance to win the slot position. Richard Goodman and the underachieving Eddie Royal are the competition. Malcom Floyd and Robert Meachem have the two outside spots locked up.
