San Francisco 49ers WR Quinton Patton stood out at the team's recent minicamp. "He looks good," WR Anquan Boldin said. "He's not hampered by the foot injury anymore. He's out there having fun, playing football. You can see he's a lot more comfortable now."
Huddle Up: With only 3 receptions in 6 games, you can write off Patton's 2013 rookie season as a lost cause, but he's going to have to show much improvement to crack the Niners' improved WR rotation, which now includes ex-Buffalo Bill Stevie Johnson and fourth-round pick Bruce Ellington.

San Francisco 49ers WR Quinton Patton could compete for the No. 3 wide receiver job this upcoming season if he is able to stay healthy.
Huddle Up: Patton, a 4th-round pick a year ago, only had 3 catches for 34 yards in 6 games last season, and there's a good chance he'll have to compete with a rookie draft pick this summer given the Niners' overtures to WRs all offseason.

San Francisco 49ers WR Quinton Patton has been limited to non-contact drills due to a broken finger on his left hand.
Huddle Up: Patton could be contending for role in the 49ers' depleted receiver rotation, but not being able to participate in contact work won't help his cause.
