Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller was on the field for 38 offensive snaps in the Week 15 game against the New England Patriots, while RB Daniel Thomas saw only 18 snaps.
Huddle Up: That's did little to help Miller's fantasy owners Sunday as Thomas still found the end zone for the 2nd straight week negating Miller's 61-18 total-yardage advantage. Weigh your options very carefully before starting either back, even with this week's favorable matchup against the Bills.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is listed as probable for Week 15.
Huddle Up: Miller and Daniel Thomas will split carries a Patriots' defense allowing 136 yards a game on the ground. However, both are risky flex plays because it's hard to know which one will get the majority of touches on a weekly basis.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (concussion) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Huddle Up: Miller is on track to play Sunday against a Patriots' rush defense allowing 136 yards a game. He'll split carries with Daniel Thomas though, making Miller a risky flex play this week.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (concussion) is participating in practice Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Huddle Up: Presumably, Miller's participation was limited, but it's nonetheless a huge first step in his bid to play this Sunday in Week 15. If you own Miller, of course you're going to have to see how the rest of the practice week plays out before making any lineup decisions.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller 'led' the team's running backs with 2 rushing yards on seven carries in the Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while RB Daniel Thomas ran four times for minus-2 yards. Miller also had nine yards on two receptions, while Thomas did not have a catch.
Huddle Up: The Bucs have a solid rushing D, but totaling 2 yards on 14 rushes as a team points toward the re-juggled Miami offensive line having other issues in addition to shoddy pass protection. And to think that Miller entered the game fresh off the two best single-game efforts (89 & 105 yards) of his career. It certainly won't be this bad going forward, but definitely lower your expectations for both Miller and Thomas until the O-line shows some growth.

Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said RB Lamar Miller could be given more work after his recent production. Miller is only averaging 11 carries per game through nine weeks.
Huddle Up: Miller's fantasy owners are wondering what's taken so long as it's taken back-to-back career rushing games, including his first 100-yard outing (105) in Week 9 vs. the Bengals, to earn more carries. Start him with confidence.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller rushed for a career-high 105 yards on 16 carries and added 24 yards on 4 catches Thursday, oct. 31 in a 22-20 OT win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Miller has hit career highs in back-to-back weeks -- in terms of rushing yards and total yards -- and the only thing that's been missing has been a TD. These also have been the second-year back's two highest single-game touch totals. He fumbled at the end of his long run of the night, a 41-yarder, but his fantasy owners have to be pleased that he's finally racking up triple-digit yardage.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller had 11 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 game against the New Orleans Saints Monday, Sept. 30. He also added a catch for six yards.
Huddle Up: Miller found some running room early and found the end zone for the second time in 3 games, finishing 11 yards off his career single-game rushing high. That obviously means he's still searching for his first 100-yard game, but maybe with a just a little more work, he'll get there as he's averaging well over 4 yards a carry.

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin reiterated Tuesday, Sept. 17, that the team wants to keep the playing time comparable between RBs Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas, despite Miller having had a more productive game in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. Philbin said unless 'one guy is breaking tackles left and right and taking the ball a long way, and the other guy is not being productive,' that this plan will continue.
Huddle Up: This is disheartening news for Miller's fantasy owners, who were hoping that the RB's outing in Indy (69 yards and a TD on 14 carries) had finally established himself as the Dolphins' lead dog.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller is listed as the starting running back for the team's Week 1 game against the Cleveland Browns.
Huddle Up: Miller is shaping up to be a boom-or-bust fantasy player as opinions seem to vary widely on the speedy back. He's currently coming off the board as the 22nd RB picked overall with an ADP of 48.18

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) is expected to play Friday, Aug. 9, against Jacksonville. Miller is dealing with a minor ankle issue.
Huddle Up: The ankle issue is minor enough that the Dolphins will let him play in a meaningless preseason game. No need to worry unless he aggravates it somehow this Friday.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (undisclosed) is OK after limping off the practice field Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Huddle Up: The fantasy community nearly imploded on social media upon learning Miller limped off the field during practice, but it looks like a minor injury. Barring anything significant down the road, there is nothing to worry about here.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller has not done anything during training camp to lose his firm grasp for the starting running back job.
Huddle Up: It's going to take some big-time missteps from Miller and a huge preseason for a Daniel Thomas or Mike Gillislee for the RB pecking order to change in South Beach so make sure Miller is the first Miami RB off the board if you have any early drafts.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller will have to show he can pass protect and stay healthy during training camp in order to hold off RBs Daniel Thomas and Mike Gillislee for the starting job.
Huddle Up: No matter who lines up in the backfield on the Fins' opening offensive snap of the season, look for all 3 backs to share in the workload. Miller, though, still should be the first Miami back drafted.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller is the clear favorite to win the starting running back job during training camp.
Huddle Up: Miller should handle first and second down, with Daniel Thomas a potential third-down option due to his pass protection skills as well as the expected short-yardage guy. Whether there's enough productivity in Miami's backfield for two fantasy helpers remains to be seen.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill confirmed RB Lamar Miller is the starting running back. 'Lamar Miller is doing a great job this offseason, really has a great handle on the offense and he's doing a great job protecting,' Tannehill said. 'They can (all) run the ball but being able to understand the pass game, understand the checkdowns and where they're protecting really makes a big difference and makes me more comfortable.'
Huddle Up: Miller, the Fins' 4th-round pick in 2012, finished third on the squad with 250 rushing yards but averaged an impressive 4.9 yards per carry and apparently now is following that up with a strong offseason, making him the early lead horse in the team's RB derby.

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said he needs to see consistent growth from RB Lamar Miller in 2013. In particular, he needs to be more disciplined in blitz pickup.
Huddle Up: Blitz pickup is almost always an issue with young backs, but the Fins definitely are putting most of their eggs in Miller's basket having released their top back, Reggie Bush, of the past 2 seasons.
