Lamar Miller | RB | Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller said earlier this week that he is ready for the lead tailback role in Week 3, and with RB Knowshon Moreno (elbow) out, he will get his chance. Miller is averaging a career-best 4.8 yards per carry through the first two games.'I'm looking forward to it,' Miller said. 'Every running back wants the ball in their hands.'
Huddle Up: Miller finally gets his chance to be Miami's lead back and the Dolphins have very little depth behind him until Moreno returns. Miller is a RB2/ flex play for Week 3.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) practiced for the third straight day Thursday, Sept. 18. Miller has a slight limp after spraining his ankle in the team's Week 2 game, but has not been on the injury report this week.
Huddle Up: Continued good news for Miller owners as the RB is in line to get the majority of work Sunday with Knowshon Moreno out with a dislocated elbow.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) was not on the team's injury report Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Huddle Up: This is notable, and good news, because Miller needs to pick up the slack left by Knowshon Moreno's absence. A healthy Miller likely means a heavily-loaded Miller this weekend.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) left the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills in a walking boot Sunday, Sept. 14, and his status for Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs isn't known.
Huddle Up: Knowshon Moreno is already out, so Miller would be the main back on Sunday. If he can't can't go, Damien Williams is next in line.

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) left the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills due to an ankle injury, although it is not considered serious.
Huddle Up: Miller moves into the lead back role with Knowshon Moreno sidelined 4-8 weeks with a dislocated elbow. Miller will be an RB2 flex play option next week against Kansas City.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller will be used much like Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy was last season. That means he should see quite a few passes headed his way. He'll have to hold off Knowshon Moreno (knee), but Miller seems to be clearly in the lead in the backfield.
Huddle Up: Miller had 100 fantasy points on 203 offensive touches, including 26 receptions, last season to finish 38th among all NFL RBs, and with Moreno sure to carve out a role once he gets healthy, it's hard to envision Miller getting that many more opportunities this fall.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller has been taking a lot of the first- team reps during offseason workouts, with RB Knowshon Moreno working mostly with the second-team offense. Head coach Joe Philbin indicated Moreno's conditioning should be better.
Huddle Up: Miller had 137 fewer fantasy points than Moreno in 2013, but it sounds like Moreno didn't exactly report to OTAs prepared. It's still way too early, though, to make any sort of definitive calls here, however.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller was on the field for 38 offensive snaps in the Week 15 game against the New England Patriots, while RB Daniel Thomas saw only 18 snaps.
Huddle Up: That's did little to help Miller's fantasy owners Sunday as Thomas still found the end zone for the 2nd straight week negating Miller's 61-18 total-yardage advantage. Weigh your options very carefully before starting either back, even with this week's favorable matchup against the Bills.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 13, and is listed as probable for Week 15.
Huddle Up: Miller and Daniel Thomas will split carries a Patriots' defense allowing 136 yards a game on the ground. However, both are risky flex plays because it's hard to know which one will get the majority of touches on a weekly basis.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (concussion) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Huddle Up: Miller is on track to play Sunday against a Patriots' rush defense allowing 136 yards a game. He'll split carries with Daniel Thomas though, making Miller a risky flex play this week.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (concussion) is participating in practice Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Huddle Up: Presumably, Miller's participation was limited, but it's nonetheless a huge first step in his bid to play this Sunday in Week 15. If you own Miller, of course you're going to have to see how the rest of the practice week plays out before making any lineup decisions.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller 'led' the team's running backs with 2 rushing yards on seven carries in the Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while RB Daniel Thomas ran four times for minus-2 yards. Miller also had nine yards on two receptions, while Thomas did not have a catch.
Huddle Up: The Bucs have a solid rushing D, but totaling 2 yards on 14 rushes as a team points toward the re-juggled Miami offensive line having other issues in addition to shoddy pass protection. And to think that Miller entered the game fresh off the two best single-game efforts (89 & 105 yards) of his career. It certainly won't be this bad going forward, but definitely lower your expectations for both Miller and Thomas until the O-line shows some growth.

Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said RB Lamar Miller could be given more work after his recent production. Miller is only averaging 11 carries per game through nine weeks.
Huddle Up: Miller's fantasy owners are wondering what's taken so long as it's taken back-to-back career rushing games, including his first 100-yard outing (105) in Week 9 vs. the Bengals, to earn more carries. Start him with confidence.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller rushed for a career-high 105 yards on 16 carries and added 24 yards on 4 catches Thursday, oct. 31 in a 22-20 OT win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Miller has hit career highs in back-to-back weeks -- in terms of rushing yards and total yards -- and the only thing that's been missing has been a TD. These also have been the second-year back's two highest single-game touch totals. He fumbled at the end of his long run of the night, a 41-yarder, but his fantasy owners have to be pleased that he's finally racking up triple-digit yardage.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller had 11 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 game against the New Orleans Saints Monday, Sept. 30. He also added a catch for six yards.
Huddle Up: Miller found some running room early and found the end zone for the second time in 3 games, finishing 11 yards off his career single-game rushing high. That obviously means he's still searching for his first 100-yard game, but maybe with a just a little more work, he'll get there as he's averaging well over 4 yards a carry.
