An MRI on Indianapolis Colts TE Coby Fleener's (knee) injured knee did not show any significant damage. Fleener could return to practice later this week if he does not have any setbacks.
Huddle Up: This is good news for Fleener, but the second-year tight end has had a rough preseason to date. He has suffered from drops, which could lead to less playing time once Dwayne Allen is back.

Indianapolis Colts TE Coby Fleener (knee) left the team's preseason game Sunday, Aug. 18, because of a knee sprain.
Huddle Up: Even though the sprain is said to be mild, Fleener is starting to compile an injury-filled resume after suffering a concussion earlier this preseason and missing 4 games last year in his rookie season with a shoulder dislocation.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said he expects TE Coby Fleener (concussion) to play in the team's second preseason game Sunday, Aug. 18. Fleener was scheduled to practice Thursday, Aug. 15.
Huddle Up: Good news for Fleener's fantasy owners and Colts backers as he apparently has aced all the post-concussion tests this week. The goal now is to get to Week 1 without a relapse with fellow TE Dwayne Allen (foot) expected to miss the rest of the preseason.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts TE Coby Fleener (concussion) has been cleared to practice but will need to pass more tests in order to be able to play in the team's second preseason game.
Huddle Up: Fleener and Dwayne Allen are both out right now, which kills some of the momentum of the Colts' second-year tight ends. Allen is out for the entire preseason, so hopefully Fleener can get back soon. The good news is Fleener catches passes from his college quarterback (Andrew Luck) and the offensive plays are called by his college coordinator (Pep Hamilton), so the missed time isn't going to set him back much. Fleener is still a prime candidate to at least double his rookie production of 26 receptions, 281 yards and 2 scores this season.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts TE Coby Fleener (concussion) has been diagnosed with a concussion and has begun the NFL concussion protocol.
Huddle Up: Troubling news for the Colts, who already are without fellow TE and 2nd-year player Dwayne Allen for the remainder of the preseason. The best hope now is that Fleener's symptoms don't linger and he can make it back on the field ASAP.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano praised TE Coby Fleener for his strong start to training camp. 'He's a mismatch. He's a handful for these guys,' Pagano said.
Huddle Up: Fleener's rookie season was definitely on the disappointing side, finishing with 26 catches for 281 yards and 2 TDs. All signs, though, are pointing up with the TE now with a season under his belt and his former college offensive coordinator now in Indy.

Indianapolis Colts TE Coby Fleener caught a pair of deep balls from QB Andrew Luck in practice Wednesday, May 29. Fleener said he's remembering more and more of the traits from new offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton, who ran the West Coast offense Fleener ran with Luck at the Stanford helm. Hamilton is expected to involve the position more often than his predecessor, Bruce Arians, did. 'What did he have 20-, 30-some catches last year? That should double,' head coach Chuck Pagano said.
Huddle Up: For the record, Fleener had 26 catches for 281 yards and 2 TDs in 12 games in 2012 but wasn't even the most productive rookie TE on his own team with Dwayne Allen notching 45 receptions for 521 yards and 3 TDs. Fleener's production should definitely see a bump, but he's probably only fantasy-starter worthy in deeper leagues with Allen around.
