New England Patriots WRs Josh Boyce and Kenbrell Thompkins are expected to receive the chance to compete for the kick return job during training camp.
Huddle Up: Aaron Dobson is the second-year Pats' wideout on most fantasy radars heading into 2014, but don't completely forget about Thompkins and Boyce, who combined for 41 catches last season. Given the right set of circumstances, either could emerge as a surprise fantasy factor.

The New England Patriots placed WR Josh Boyce (ankle) on the Injured Reserve Thursday, Jan. 2.
Huddle Up: That ends the rookie season for the 4th-round pick, who wound up with 9 catches for 121 yards and a 23.8-yard average on 9 kickoff returns. Austin Collie will fill his spot on the roster.

New England Patriots WRs Aaron Dobson (foot) and Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) are both expected to return in Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens. An official announcement on whether they will play will come Saturday, Dec. 21, after they go through a medical check. WR Josh Boyce (ankle) hasn't practiced all week and will not play this weekend. However, Boyce's injury doesn't look to be too serious.
Huddle Up: Regardless, it's going to be hard to trust any N.E. WR outside of Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola.

New England Patriots WR Josh Boyce was on the field for workouts Friday, July 26, after being severely limited in the offseason program by a foot injury.
Huddle Up: Boyce is being mentioned as in the mix for one of the Patriots' wide-open receiver rotation spots, so his being healthy and participating in practice from the start of camp is a good thing. File him away as a deep, deep sleeper worth keeping an eye on.
