Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu (calf) and OT Marcus Gilbert (ankle) have been ruled out for Week 10.
Huddle Up: It's another week without Polamalu, who only has suited up for 2 games so far. The Steel Curtain, however, has been more than solid in his absence, leading the league in fewest total yards and fewest passing yards allowed.

Pittsburgh Steelers OT Marcus Gilbert (ankle), LB Brandon Johnson (hamstring) and SS Troy Polamalu (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and have been ruled out for Week 8.
Huddle Up: The Steelers defense continues to be softer than usual this week thanks to Polamalu's absence. He would have been a big help against RGIII and the Redskins this week.

Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu (calf) and OT Marcus Gilbert (ankle) will both sit out for the team's Week 8 game. Polamalu will miss his fifth game of the season, while Gilbert will be missing his second straight game, and he could be out a few more weeks.
Huddle Up: Unlike previous weeks, the Steelers didn't seem to miss either player too much in a Week 7 road win over the Bengals. However, the Steeler D will be in for more of a test this Sunday with RGIII coming to town.

Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu (calf) and LB LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) did not practice Monday, Oct. 8. Polamalu, who reinjured himself in Sunday's win over the Eagles, already has been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Titans while Woodley is doubtful.
Huddle Up: Just when the Steel Curtain was getting back to full strength, Polamalu and Woodley went down against Philly. At least the Steelers get a break in facing the Titans this week as Tennessee has scored 14 or fewer points in 4 of its 5 games so far.

Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu (calf) will not play in the team's Week 6 game, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Huddle Up: Apparently Polamalu came back too early and suffered another setback. Fortunately for the Steelers they evened their record at 2-2, so they will feel less pressure to rush him back until he is completely ready to contribute.

Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu appeared to aggravate his calf injury late in the first quarter Sunday. He limped off the field and did not return.
Huddle Up: Polamalu's return didn't last a quarter as the standout safety came up limping after a non-contact play. He had missed the previous two games, but the Pittsburgh D held up fine, limiting the Eagles to 14 points in a 16-14 win.

Huddle Up: The Steelers can use some defensive help as they have allowed 31 or more points in two of their 3 games and only have five sacks and two takeaways so far.

The Pittsburgh Steelers still aren't sure if SS Troy Polamalu (calf) and LB James Harrison (knee) will play against the Oakland Raiders in Week 3. Both players will go through informal workouts Tuesday, Sept. 18, before a decision will be made on whether they will practice this week.
Huddle Up: The Steelers didn't miss either player much Sunday as they limited the Jets to 10 points. The offensively-challenged Raiders are up next, although RB Darren McFadden is itching for a breakout performance.
