Detroit Lions WR Patrick Edwards appeared to be the No. 4 wide receiver during offseason workouts and also saw some time with the first-team offense during some of the practices.
Huddle Up: With the Lions, of course, it's been Megatron and then little else when it comes to WRs in the passing game, and Edwards, an undrafted 2012 free-agent from the University of Houston, has as good of a shot as any other wideout on the roster to make some fantasy noise after sitting out injured all of last season. have him handy on your list of deep WR sleepers.

Detroit Lions WR Patrick Edwards, who missed out on a chance to join the active roster last year due to an injury, has impressed the coaches during a minicamp over the weekend. Edwards finished his career at the University of Houston with 291 catches for 4,507 yards and 43 touchdowns, but he went undrafted in 2012. 'He's a lot stronger right now than he was last year,' head coach Jim Schwartz said. 'He runs much better routes. He has a much better understanding of the offense, which you would expect. He's always had the ability to make a play. He's another guy that's in the mix returning kicks and punts.'
Huddle Up: Hey, the door remains wide open for a WR complement to emerge opposite Megatron, and the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Edwards could emerge as a deep sleeper or at least make an impact as a return man.
