Free-agent TE Kellen Winslow (Jets) was granted a conditional discharge on charges of possessing synthetic marijuana. Under conditions set by East Hanover Municipal Court Judge Vincent Pirone, the charge against Winslow will be dismissed in a year without a guilty finding if he avoids arrest and meets regularly with probation officers.
Huddle Up: Good news for Winslow, though given what else he may have allegedly been doing in his vehicle when arrested, "conditional discharge" might not be the best phrasing to use here.

New York Jets TE Kellen Winslow Jr. pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of synthetic marijuana.
Huddle Up: Winslow is barely fantasy relevant at this point, and if he's going to run afoul of the league due to off-the-field transgressions he'll fall off the fantasy planet completely.

NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith said he does not think New York Jets TE Kellen Winslow should be suspended for his arrest in November for alleged possession of synthetic marijuana. Smith said synthetic marijuana is not among the drugs banned under the drug policy.
Huddle Up: Smith certainly has a firm grip on the situation, since technically synthetic marijuana is not on the drug policy. Maybe the NFLPA would be in favor of a lesser punishment, a figurative spanking of Winslow for his transgressions. Either way, Winslow has been a jerk, but the situation doesn't necessarily call for his release.

The New York Jets have activated TE Kellen Winslow from the suspended list Monday, Nov. 11. The team also waived FS Rontez Miles.
Huddle Up: Winslow hasn't seen action since Week 5 but was productive when he did play, recording 17 catches for 169 yards and a pair of scores in 5 outings. His return could coincide with that of WR Santonio Holmes, giving Geno Smith's pass-catching corps a dual boost.

New York Jets TE Kellen Winslow is expected to be activated from the suspended list after the team's bye in Week 10. The club has a roster exemption until Monday, Nov. 11, at 4pm ET.
Huddle Up: Fellow TE Jeff Cumberland also is expected back from injury in Week 11, so the Jets suddenly could have a full complement of TEs.

New York Jets TE Kellen Winslow has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Huddle Up: Winslow's up-and-down career has hit another downer as the Jets' leading pass-catcher (17 receptions-169 yards-2 TDs) will sit the next month. In the meantime, those looking for a fill-in TE could do a lot worse than Winslow's teammate Jeff Cumberland, who has gone 4-113-2 over the past 2 games.
