Indianapolis Colts WR LaVon Brazill has been suspended for at least one year without pay by the NFL for violating the policy and program for substances of abuse.
Huddle Up: This news doesn't really have a fantasy impact as Brazill caught only 12 passes for 161 yards and 2 TDs in 10 games a year ago, but it will open up a spot on Indy's WR depth chart for the likes of Da'Rick Rogers, Griff Whalen or the like.

Indianapolis Colts WRs LaVon Brazill, Da'Rick Rogers and Griff Whalen may compete for one roster spot during training camp. It appears WRs Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton, Hakeem Nicks and Donte Moncrief are locks to make the roster.
Huddle Up: Whoever wins the job, it doesn't figure to matter fantasy-wise as Brazill, Rogers and Whalen combined for 50 receptions last season -- and that was without Nicks and without Wayne most of the season.

Indianapolis Colts WR LaVon Brazill (foot) was seen in a walking boot as he watched practice Thursday, Dec. 12.
Huddle Up: According to, Brazill believes he was stepped on in the Week 14 loss to the Bengals -- a game in which he had 3 catches for 53 yards and 2 TDs. He has missed both of the team's practices this week, but told the team site he still expects to be ready Sunday. Stay tuned . . .

Indianapolis Colts WR LaVon Brazill admitted he made a mistake in the offseason, and he now has a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy to start the season as a result. Brazill said he needs to decide between 'money and marijuana.' That isn't his only battle. He is also vying for the fourth receiver spot behind WRs Reggie Wayne, Darrius Heyward-Bey and T.Y. Hilton, so his roster spot isn't necessarily a given.
Huddle Up: Brazill finished his rookie season with 11 catches for 186 yards and a TD, and as long as age doesn't catch up with Wayne, DHB doesn't stick to his Raider ways and Hilton doesn't endure a sophomore slide, Brazill may definitely find it hard to stick around in Indy, let alone find any fantasy traction in 2013.
