Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White said he knows has been off to a slow start this season and will try to improve his play. 'I've gotten off to a really slow start,' White said. 'Not one of my favorable years that I'm having. But I've got to turn my game around for our team to start playing better. I'm a leader on this team, and I haven't been going out there and playing like Roddy White football. I've got to get back to just being myself - go out there and just cut it loose - and whatever happens, happens.' White has dropped three passes on 39 targets this season, which is tied for fourth most among receivers.
Huddle Up: Over the Falcons' last 4 games, White has hardly been startable, totalling only 9 receptions for 139 yards and a TD on 24 targets. Sunday would be a good time to start his turnaround facing a Ravens' D that has surrendered the seventh most fantasy points to opposing WRs.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) will start the Week 4 game Sunday, Sept. 28, according to head coach Mike Smith.
Huddle Up: White missed Atlanta's blowout win of the Bucs, with Julio Jones blowing up and Harry Douglas scoring in his absence. White's return won't necessarily diminish expectations for Jones, but Atlanta's tertiary receivers are less likely to offer fantasy help this week.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) said he believes he is ready to play in the team's Week 4 game.
Huddle Up: White actually came close to playing in Week 3 but the short week wasn't in his favor. He's been limited in practices so far this week, but you'd figure the schedule -- i.e. extra rest -- will work in his favor this time around.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) is working off to the side with trainers during practice Wednesday, Sept. 24.
Huddle Up: White was a game-time inactive and missed the Week 3 rout of the Bucs but is expected to return this Sunday against the Vikings given the extra rest he's received. He'll have to show more Thursday and Friday, however, so check his status.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) is inactive for Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Sept. 18.
Huddle Up: White is unable to go after a hamstring injury cropped up early in the week and kept him out of practice. In the meantime, it's bump up for Harry Douglas and Devin Hester and even TE Levine Toilolo complementing top target Julio Jones.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) isn't expected to be active for the Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday, Sept. 18, in the opinion of CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora.
Huddle Up: Other sources are starting to confirm this earlier report, but none are definitive. So it remains "likely" the Falcons sit White in tonight's game and roll with Harry Douglas and Devin Hester behind Julio Jones.

Updating previous reports, Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 3 unless a dramatic occurrence happens between now and the game.
Huddle Up: White didn't practice all week and is officially listed as questionable for Thursday night's contest. Still, the concern for fantasy owners is that White plays but is used more as a decoy at something significantly less than 100 percent. Weigh this possibility when setting your WR lineup.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) is not practicing Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Huddle Up: That's 2 missed practices in 2 days this week for White so things are starting to look somewhat sketchy for Thursday night's game against the Bucs. However, don't write off the veteran's chances just yet as this wouldn't be the first time he's missed practice and still played that week.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White was listed as missing practice Monday, Sept. 15, due to a hamstring injury.
Huddle Up: It's new issue for White, who has been dealing with a knee injury, and a short week for the Falcons, who host the Bucs on Thursday. See if White can get on the field Tuesday or Wednesday.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White signed a four-year extension with the team that will keep him under team control for the next five years, according to sources. White can earn up to $30 million in the deal with $18 million coming in the first two seasons and $10 million guaranteed overall, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Putting aside last season's injury-addled 63-711-3 disappointment, White got rewarded for his 6-year stretch of excellence from 2007-12 in which he averaged 94 catches, 1,296 yards and 8 TDs per season. Set to turn 33 in November, White is on the wrong side of 30, but definitely look for his 2014 numbers to be closer to his heyday figures than his 2013 stats.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White was arrested after a failure-to- appear warrant from a citation for 'non-transparent material on his windows.' He posted $168 bond and was released.
Huddle Up: In the grand scope of NFL off-field transgressions we've encountered over the past few seasons, illegal window tint isn't anything to waste any more discussion about so we won't.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White said he would like to play three or four more years as he gets closer to a contract extension. "How many more years? I think three or four," he said. 'I don't want to be an ironman like Tony [Gonzalez]. He was blessed to go through his stint in the NFL because 17 seasons is a long time to play football, man. I was thinking if I could just get 10, I'll be all right."
Huddle Up: After overcoming the ankle and hamstring injuries that hampered much of the season, White showed he definitely has plenty left, catching 43 passes for 502 yards and a pair of TDs over the Falcons' final 5 games.
Posted: 12/31/2013 11:08am et
Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said the team wants to sign WR Roddy White to a contract extension.
Huddle Up: Makes sense for the Falcons to want to lock down White, especially with Tony Gonzalez riding off into the sunset. A healthy White flashed some reminders of his considerable skill late in the season, and if Atlanta wants to continue with the White/Jones tandem they'll want to get Roddy taken care of early enough to start saving up for Julio.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White caught a season-high 12 passes for 141 yards and a TD Monday, Dec. 23 in a 34-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Huddle Up: White continued his late-season resurgence with his best performance of the year. He has 35 catches for 411 yards and a score over his last 4 games, after netting only 20 receptions, 209 yards and one TD over the season's first 12 weeks.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 12.
Huddle Up: White still isn't 100 percent but he shown over the past 2 weeks (18 catches-217 yards) that he's a lot closer than he was over his first 9 games (20-209).

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle) had his best game of the season in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills, but he said Monday, Dec. 2, that he still isn't fully healthy. 'My ankle is still bothering me, but I'm a football player,' White said. 'That's what they pay me to do: play football. And that's what I've been doing my whole life. That's all I know how to do. So I'm going to get myself out there and fight with my teammates every week, if I can. If I feel like I can go out there and be productive, I'm going to go out there and help my team win.'
Huddle Up: White's 10-catch, 143-yard effort Sunday came far too late for most of his remaining fantasy owners as he only had 20 receptions for 209 yards in his 9 previous games this season. The admission that's still hurting isn't going to inspire much confidence going forward, either. Continue to use White with caution.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White had his best game of the season in Week 13 with 10 catches for 143 yards.
Huddle Up: White looked healthy for the first time in a long time, and the results indicate as much. He'll go a long way towards salvaging some fantasy value for both himself and Matt Ryan down the stretch.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White caught 2 passes for 24 yards Thursday, Nov. 21 in a 17-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Huddle Up: White caught every pass thrown his way, but the problem was he wasn't a big part of the Falcons' game plan for whatever reason. Meanwhile, fellow wideouts Harry Douglas and rookie Darius Johnson had 19 targets and 15 catches between them. White now has 20 receptions for 209 yards and 1 TD in what's become a total fantasy disaster of a season.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (shoulder) fully practiced and is probable for the team's Week 11 game.
Huddle Up: The shoulder is a new injury for White, but it's not likely to result in any lost time. The overriding concern, though, is White's production -- or lack of it -- as he had only 1 catch for 20 yards in his return last week. Start him at your own risk.

The Atlanta Falcons plan to monitor WR Roddy White's (ankle, hamstring) workload for the remainder of the season, and head coach Mike Smith said White was capped out at 55 of the team's 58 offensive snaps in Week 10. He had only one catch for 20 yards and was thrown to four times. Smith doesn't plan on another receiver taking White's role as the No. 1 receiver unless he suffers a setback. However, Smith hinted that the limited snaps for White would at least carry over into Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 'I think when you start talking about 55 plays, an average game is usually somewhere between 65 and 70,' Smith said. 'I think Roddy will play as many plays as we can possible give him. That (55) was on the upper limit, by the way, in terms of the number of snaps that we anticipated him playing.' White said he felt fine after the game.
Huddle Up: It's been a lost season so far for White, and it sounds like there might be a lesser opportunity for a late-year revival now as well.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) said he expects to play in the team's Week 10 game. White said he wanted to have a full week of practice before he returns to the field.
Huddle Up: White has gotten in back-to-back limited practices this week, and if he plays, he's going to be tough to trust coming in cold after a 3-game absence.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) said he is 'pretty sure' he will play in the team's Week 10 game.
Huddle Up: We've seen Roddy at less than 100 percent this season, and it hasn't been pretty; therefore, it will be difficult to throw him back into fantasy lineups sight unseen. That said, it's good to have him back in the mix as we rumble down the fantasy stretch.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Huddle Up: Will we finally see the return of Roddy White? Keep an eye on his status the rest of the way.

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) ran some routes before the Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers, but he went back to the locker room after discussing his status with head coach Mike Smith and receivers coach Terry Robiskie. 'We did work Roddy out before the game. We made the decision that we felt like it was in the best interest for Roddy and our football team, long term, not to go,' Smith said Sunday, Nov. 3.
Huddle Up: The Falcons have trotted White out at less than full speed before, with disappointing results. Worse, it's extended the time White has been injured--not to mention forced fantasy owners to wrestle with the dilemma of playing White at less than 100 percent and getting subpar stats, or benching him and risk his playing up to his talent level despite the injury. So White sitting out was ultimately the best decision for everyone involved--team, player, and fantasy owner.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) returned to practice Friday, Nov. 1, after visiting with a team doctor Thursday, Oct. 31. White ran a few individual drills at the start of the practice Friday and will be listed as limited for the session. Head coach Mike Smith said White's status for Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers is uncertain.
Huddle Up: Small steps here for White, who should remain on the fantasy bench even if he gets the OK to play Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said he hopes WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) will be cleared to practice Friday, Nov. 1.
Huddle Up: The Falcons have had trouble keeping Roddy on the field this year, and just because he's cleared to practice Friday doesn't mean he'll be back to top speed on Sunday. Part of the issue has been White playing through injuries and further aggravating them; expect the Falcons to be more cautious this time around and make certain White is fully healed before returning him to the lineup.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 31.
Huddle Up: It's been rumored that White may try to get in some practice reps Friday, but for the time being it looks as if the wideout will miss a third straight game.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said it is too early to determine if WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) will be able to play in the team's Week 9 game.
Huddle Up: Once again, you shouldn't count on White this week. Even if he plays, he's liable to disappoint you.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) will continue to rehab his injuries, and the doctors will determine if he will be able to play Week 9.
Huddle Up: We'll believe Roddy White when we see him on the field. Even if he does finally get the green light, it will be hard to trust him after such a long layoff.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 25, and has been ruled out for Week 8.
Huddle Up: After another week of missed practices, White will miss a 2nd straight game as his fantasy owners despair in what's grown to 2 months of frustration. Look for Harry Douglas to continue to see extra work as he's now the Falcons' No. 1 WR by default.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Huddle Up: Barring a sudden reversal of fortune over the next few days, plan on White missing a second straight game.
