Greg Jennings | WR | Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings (Achilles') said he definitely expects to play Week 12 even though he is listed as questionable.
Huddle Up: Jennings is hard to trust given Minnesota's shaky quarterback situation. Now that he's not 100 percent, Jennings is a risky flex option at best this week.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings (Achilles') was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 22, and is questionable for Week 12.
Huddle Up: Even if Jennings does get a green light Sunday, it's going to be awfully tough to trust the wideout who missed Week 11 and only had 1 50-yard receiving game and no TDs in his 5 contests previous to that.

Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings (Achilles') said Sunday, Nov. 17, that he plans to be active for the Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers, his first return to Lambeau Field since leaving the Packers.
Huddle Up: Nice for Jennings to be in the lineup against his former mates, but whether or not he's available should have no impact on your fantasy club as he's done nothing to warrant a roster spot this season.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings (knee) should be fine to play in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Jennings injured his knee during an off-day workout Tuesday, Oct. 29, but didn't need an MRI exam.
Huddle Up: Of more concern to Jennings' owners is the team's up-in-the-air QB situation and the wideout's corresponding lack of recent production with only 5 catches among 13 targets for 50 yards and no TDs over the past 2 games.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 31.
Huddle Up: The nagging injuries and the Vikings' unsettled QB situation have taken a sizable chunk out of Jennings' fantasy value. The WR has recorded only 5 catches for 50 yards over the past 2 games, including a dismal 1-catch, 9-yard effort against his former team the Packers this past Sunday night.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings had three receptions for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Week 4 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in London. One of his touchdowns went for 70 yards. He has seven touchdowns of 70 or more yards in his career. Only Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice has more, with nine.
Huddle Up: He wasn't going to be shut out on the season, but don't expect these kinds of performances from Jennings on a regular basis.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings said QB Christian Ponder has not had enough help around him in previous years, and that will change this year. 'He (Ponder) has always been a position where the stress and the pressure was on him, and he really didn't have the help around him to take that load off, outside of 'All Day' (Adrian Peterson). That's it,' Jennings said.
Huddle Up: You'd think after playing against him twice a year for the past 4 seasons, Percy Harvin would deserve at least a little love from Jennings.

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings said the ankle issue that kept him out of practice Wednesday, May 29, is a non-issue and he will return to practice next week. 'It's May,' Jennings said. 'Nothing right now counts as much. It's important. But it really doesn't count as much as September, August. ... It's May, and I'm perfectly fine.'
Huddle Up: After playing in all 16 games for 3 straight seasons, Jennings has missed a combined 11 games over the past 2 seasons, and the Vikings have 17.8 million reasons -- the number of guaranteed dollars in the WR's new deal with the team -- to bank that he's healthier in 2013 and beyond.

The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a five-year deal with free-agent WR Greg Jennings. Jennings' deal has a max value of $47.5 million, with $18 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: The Vikings fill their glaring need for a go-to receiver by inking Jennings to a deal that is believed to be less than what the Packers were offering earlier in free agency. He'll immediately assume the team's WR1 duties and likely serve as a mentor to whomever Minnesota selects as their WR1 of the future with one of their first-round picks.

Free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers) is meeting with the Minnesota Vikings Thursday, March 14, according to a source.
Huddle Up: With the Dolphins already choosing Mike Wallace over Jennings, it would appear the WR likely will either sign with Minnesota or hook up back with the Pack.

The Green Bay Packers offered free-agent WR Greg Jennings a contract with a salary of $10 million per season "a while ago," according to a source. Another source indicated Jennings has been in discussions with the team about a possible return.
Huddle Up: Jennings has talked about testing the free agency waters, but after Miami overpaid Mike Wallace the market has thinned for receivers. Minnesota is still reportedly interested, but there was no talk of an offer being made on the opening day of free agency. Jennings has mentioned he would prefer a dome or a warmer climate, but he may opt to stick with the offense he knows--and a healthy paycheck.

The Indianapolis Colts have not expressed an interest in free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers), according to a source.
Huddle Up: Jennings' stock has been on the wane for a while now, and his best option still might be the Vikings, whose WR cupboard is barren after dealing Parcy Harvin on Monday, March 11.

The Miami Dolphins do not value impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings as much as some think. Jennings is not in the initial plans as the team approaches free-agency.
Huddle Up: Mike Wallace definitely seems to be shaping up as the hotter commodity on the market, but Jennings could suddenly appear more interesting to whomever misses out on the Steelers' free agent.

The Green Bay Packers have decided that they will not place their franchise tag on impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings.
Huddle Up: The lack of a tag strongly suggests Jennings has played his last game in green and gold. The Vikings and Dolphins are expected to be among Jennings' most aggressive pursuers in free agency.

The Green Bay Packers are still mulling using the franchise tag on impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings before the deadline to use the tag Monday, March 4. General manager Ted Thompson said at the NFL Scouting Combine that the team would like to retain Jennings.
Huddle Up: Fantasy owners of James Jones and Randall Cobb would prefer to see Jennings elsewhere, but Jennings couldn't ask for a better quarterback to be throwing the ball to him than Aaron Rodgers. However, Jennings' fantasy numbers might be better as an unchallenged WR1 elsewhere, depending on where he lands.

The Green Bay Packers are still considering the possibility of placing the franchise tag on impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings this offseason.
Huddle Up: This would be an unexpected twist that definitely would throw a wrench in the plans of several WR-needy teams.

Rumors around the NFL Scouting Combine are that free-agent WR Greg Jennings is seeking a contract worth $14 million per year.
Huddle Up: It was my understanding that there would be no math, but $14 mil a year would put Jennings in Larry Fitzgerald territory--in other words, among the most handsomely-compensated wideouts in the NFL. Seems aggressive, but maybe the Dolphins or Vikings are desperate enough for receiver help that they'd overpay to such a degree.

The Miami Dolphins are expected to talk to the representatives for free agent WR's Mike Wallace and Greg Jennings at the NFL combine in Indianapolis this week. The Dolphins have a plan that makes Wallace the top priority to sign, but they also have interest in Jennings, possibly as a replacement if Wallace falls through, or possibly in addition to Wallace.
Huddle Up: The Dolphins are on the hunt for receiving help, and Wallace and Jennings are the top two options in free agency. However, either would take a significant fantasy hit with the downgrade at quarterback.

The St. Louis Rams likely will not show interest in Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings or Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe because they consider Jennings an injury risk and are worried that Bowe's play could decrease after he receives a big contract.
Huddle Up: The Rams may not go big with a FA WR signing but they're going to have to dip into the pool at some point as their top 2 wideouts -- Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson -- are unrestricted free agents.

The Green Bay Packers do not appear to have made any recent contract offers to impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings. It is believed the team does not to invest a lot of money in a player that has dealt with injuries the last few seasons. The team is not expected to place their franchise tag on Jennings.
Huddle Up: The Packers are well-stocked at wide receiver and don't seem interested in paying big money to bring Jennings back. Jennings, meanwhile, has been associated with several other teams including the Dolphins and Vikings. When healthy Jennings has more than enough talent to be an impact fantasy wideout, but he's unlikely to land in a situation where he has a quarterback as talented as Aaron Rodgers throwing him the football.

Impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers) said Wednesday, Feb. 13, that he would be interested in joining former offensive coordinator, and current NFL head coach Joe Philbin, with the Miami Dolphins. 'I wouldn't mind that at all,' Jennings said. 'The weather's definitely nice. They have an up and coming quarterback.'
Huddle Up: This is a seemingly perfect match that has been discussed for months. It likely won't take long after open free agency starts on March 12 to find out whether or not probability becomes reality.

The Kansas City Chiefs could show interest in Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings if they are not able to re-sign impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe this offseason.
Huddle Up: Jennings will be plenty familiar with Andy Reid's offense, and the Chiefs sans Bowe would be in desperate need of a WR1. There will be other suitors for Jennings, but expect the Chiefs to be at or near the front of the line.

The Minnesota Vikings could look to add a wide receiver in free agency that could serve a deep threat for the team. Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe, Green Bay Packers free-agent WR Greg Jennings, Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace and Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent WR Donnie Avery could receive from the Vikings.
Huddle Up: If it's a deep threat the Vikes crave, Wallace (career 17.2 yards per catch) and Jennings (15.4) would by far be the best options of the bunch as Bowe and Avery are more possession/underneath targets.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings said he hopes to re-sign with the team but is willing to go to another team if a deal can't be worked out.
Huddle Up: Aaron Rodgers wouldn't mind having Jennings back, either, but with the team's WR depth and other, more pressing needs, look for Jennings to be playing elsewhere in 2013.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings said there are some disadvantages to playing at home in the postseason. Jennings did not mind previous playoff runs that went through warmer cities or domed stadiums. 'I'm not opposed to playing here,' Jennings said of playing at Lambeau Field. 'Obviously, with our crowd and our fans, that's what we want as a team. But going on the road, being isolated away from everyone, I think the focus level and the sense of urgency is just a tad higher because you're dependent on your teammate. You travel, you're in a hotel - you're all together. It's you guys against everyone else outside of that hotel.' Jennings also said he'd take a playoff game on good turf like a dome. 'Absolutely. I mean absolutely, I would be on turf, quick. Dome. Are you kidding me?'
Huddle Up: Hmmmm. Could it be that a new team and home stadium in 2013 are already on Jennings' mind?

The Miami Dolphins likely will pursue a playmaking receiver such as Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings or Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace if they become available during free agency.
Huddle Up: The Fins most definitely could use some big-play WR help after the team's possession-oriented wideouts combined to catch all of 3 TD passes this season.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings said he's prepared to sign with another team in free agency after the season. He said there has been no talks about an extension with the team.
Huddle Up: The Packers are deep at receiver and aren't likely to throw a bunch of money at Jennings to stick around. While he's not exactly young, and his injury history makes him somewhat risky, Jennings should have his choice of multiple short-term, incentive-laden deals this offseason.
