The Seattle Seahawks signed QB Tarvaris Jackson to a one-year deal Thursday, June 13 after he passed his physical.
Huddle Up: The season before Russell Wilson's arrival, Jackson made 14 starts for the 'Hawks, throwing for 3,091 yards and 14 TDs. The No. 2 job is now up for grabs, and Jackson would figure to be better suited to replace Wilson in the Seattle offense than fellow free-agent signee Brady Quinn.

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign free-agent QB Tarvaris Jackson to a one-year deal.
Huddle Up: Jackson is familiar with the Seahawks offense and could step in and hold serve should something happen to Russell Wilson. But if T-Jax does see the field, the only Seahawk whose fantasy value wouldn't take a significant nosedive would be Marshawn Lynch, because he'd be carrying the entirety of the offense.

Free-agent QB Tarvaris Jackson (Bills) is expected to visit the Seattle Seahawks in the next day or two to possibly sign a contract with the team, two sources said Tuesday, June 11. Jackson was the team's starting quarterback in 2011, but lost his job last summer to QB Russell Wilson, and was traded to the Buffalo Bills. QB Brady Quinn is the current backup to Wilson.
Huddle Up: Could the Brady Quinn be over before it really begins in Seattle? Jackson would seem to be a better fit for the Seahawks' offense.

The Buffalo Bills released QB Tarvaris Jackson Monday, June 10.
Huddle Up: Jackson was a place-holder while the Bills sorted out the post-Ryan Fitzpatrick era. With Kevin Kolb and E.J. Manuel now in Buffalo, there was no more need for T-Jax.

Buffalo Bills QBs Tarvaris Jackson and Kevin Kolb and are splitting reps with the first team in OTAs, and rookie QB EJ Manuel is working as the third-stringer.
Huddle Up: Jackson is the true wild card here, and this may be his last chance to win an NFL starting gig. In Jackson's previous 7 NFL season, he's started the majority of a season only twice -- 2007 with the Vikings and 2011 with the Seahawks -- and has averaged a hom-hum 2,501 passing yards, 11.5 passing TDs, 7.5 interceptions, 184 rushing yards and 2 rushing scores over those 2 seasons while posting a 15- 11 record in 26 starts.

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills QB Tarvaris Jackson signed a one-year deal that could be worth as much as $4.5 million. Bills head coach Doug Marrone said Jackson and Ryan Fitzpatrick will compete for the starting quarterback position during offseason workouts and training camp.
Huddle Up: Jackson's deal is likely loaded with incentives, on the off chance that the Bills come up with a better quarterback option prior to the start of the season--say, in the draft. And Jackson's signing certainly doesn't bode well for Fitzpatrick sticking around on his current deal; expect a restructure or release in the very near future.
