The Kansas City Chiefs released TE Kevin Boss and WR Steve Breaston Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Huddle Up: Even though neither position is a strong suit for K.C., the Chiefs have decided to move on from the duo which combined for all of 10 catches, 139 yards and a TD this past season. Boss, at least, had an early-season concussion to blame as he was limited to 2 games, but Breaston was a flat-out bust in his second year in K.C.

Updating a previous report, the Kansas City Chiefs have placed TE Kevin Boss (concussion) on Injured Reserve.
Huddle Up: Hopefully Boss can recover from this injury; it is rather serious when someone is placed on IR this early with a concussion. This opens the door for Tony Moeaki, who could see his production rise into the TE2 range.

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs TE Kevin Boss (head) will be re-evaluated after leaving the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills due to a head injury in the second quarter. He was able to accompany the team on its flight home to Kansas City.
Huddle Up: Boss, who had two catches for 36 yards and a TD in the season opener, had one reception for 29 yards before leaving the Week 2 game. If Boss misses time, TE Tony Moeaki will likely see more target for K.C.

Kansas City Chiefs TEs Tony Moeaki and Kevin Boss are expected to receive a lot of playing time this season. The team may use two-tight end sets often during the season.
Huddle Up: Moeaki missed most of OTAs while rehabbing a torn left ACL. He also had his right knee scoped during the 2011 offseason. Ex-Giants TE Boss is primarily a run-blocker but he's shown an ability to get open near the goal-line.
