Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling announced Tuesday, March 4, that he will retire from the NFL.
Huddle Up: The 7-year backup to Michael Turner and Steven Jackson is calling it a career. He gained 380 total yards and scored 4 TDs this past season, but his best year came in 2009 when he had 872 yards from scrimmage and 5 scores.

Atlanta Falcons FB Jason Snelling was arrested Friday, Nov. 15, and charged with possession of marijuana and various traffic charges after a traffic stop. He was pulled over at approximately 3:35 a.m. ET, as Snelling's vehicle was observed unable to stay in its lane by a police officer. Snelling also had no valid insurance and the registration was expired, as well.
Huddle Up: Snelling missed Friday's practice and there is no word yet if he'll face disciplinary action. With Steven Jackson back, Snelling's fantasy value has dried up.

Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 31.
Huddle Up: Snelling missed Week 8 and Wednesday's practice, but could be in line to return this Sunday in Carolina. However, the Falcons' ground game is struggling and adding Snelling back into the mix will likely only muddle things further.

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling was taken to the locker room in the fourth quarter of the Week 5 game against the New York Jets Monday, Oct. 7, to get tested for a possible concussion. He did not return.
Huddle Up: Snelling only gained 23 yards on 12 touches before leaving, but salvaged 6 points for his fantasy owners with his 4-yard scoring reception on a first-quarter shovel pass. Meanwhile, RB Jacquizz Rodgers (58 total yards, 2 TDs) was more effective, and, in any case, starting RB Steven Jackson is due back in Week 7 following the Falcons' bye, sending Snelling back to the bench.
