The New Orleans Saints are shopping RB Pierre Thomas to other teams, per league sources.
Huddle Up: Could it be that the Saints want to pare down their long-standing RBBC? Thomas will turn 30 this coming December, and is coming off the second-best total-yardage season (1,062) in his 7-year career.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (chest) was limited in practice Friday, Jan. 10, and is questionable for the team's divisional round game.
Huddle Up: Thomas is expected to play, but he'll be battling Mark Ingram, Khiry Robinson and Darren Sproles for touches against a stout defense so his fantasy upside is limited.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas' (chest) status for the Divisional Round playoff game is uncertain even though he was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 9.
Huddle Up: Thomas did actually practice for the first time since the final week of December, but right now, he'd still have to be considered unlikely to play Saturday afternoon in Seattle with the game the first one up on this weekend's divisional-round docket.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (chest) did not practice Wednesday, Jan. 8. Thomas hasn't practiced since before Week 17 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: Thomas missed the wild-card win over the Eagles -- in which the team posted its second-highest rushing total (185 yards) of the season -- and his availability for Saturday's divisional-round game in Seattle obviously is in question. If he can't go, look for Mark Ingram, Darren Sproles and Khiry Robinson to split the load once again.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (chest) did not practice again Friday, Jan. 3, and is ruled out for the team's Wild Card game this weekend.
Huddle Up: With Thomas out, the Saints will turn to Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram to handle the backfield duties. Khiry Robinson and Travaris Cadet could also see touches.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (chest) did not practice Thursday, Jan. 2.
Huddle Up: That's 2 straight missed practices for Thomas, who apparently was injured in the team's regular-season finale. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the team hasn't exactly been forthcoming about the extent of the injury, and it's hard to gauge the RB's true status at the moment. If he's forced to miss Saturday night's contest look for Darren Sproles, Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson to all share in picking up the slack.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (eye) practiced fully Friday, Dec. 27, and he is listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: Thomas has been brutal of late with only 43 rushing yards (on 23 carries) and 104 receiving yards (on 20 catches) and no TDs over his last 4 games. Use him with caution in Week 17.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas rushed 10 times for 73 yards and added 5 receptions for 57 yards Thursday, Nov. 21 in a 17-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Thomas had both the opportunity -- with injured fellow RB Darren Sproles inactive -- and a favorable matchup against a leaky Atlanta defense to make some fantasy noise, and he came through with his best total-yardage output of the season. The only thing missing was a touchdown, but those will come if Thomas keeps running with the power and determination he showed Thursday night.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas is listed as the starting running back on the team's first depth chart.
Huddle Up: This reaffirms what we already know: Pierre Thomas is better than Mark Ingram. The question is whether the Saints will still be too stubborn to give Thomas more playing time in the regular season—Ingram was a first-round pick, after all—and Thomas doesn't exactly have the best track record in terms of health. If his ADP spikes, however, he won't be a great value—injury concerns and sharing the rock with Ingram and Darren Sproles mitigate his value.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas said head coach Sean Payton wants more focus on the running game this season. 'There's going to be more focus this year on that ground game than any year. He said we've got to get back to running the ball, having 100-yard games non-stop. I can't wait. I'm excited and I know everybody else is excited,' Payton said.
Huddle Up: The Saints were a pass-first team with a four-headed RBBC in 2012, but with Chris Ivory traded to the Jets, it makes things more manageable fantasy-wise with Thomas and Mark Ingram as the top 2 RBs and Darren Sproles once again returning as the pass-catching threat out of the backfield.
