The New England Patriots have re-signed free-agent CB Aqib Talib to a one-year deal worth $5 million. The Patriots made a long-term offer to Talib, but Talib decided to accept their one-year offer. Talib also received interest from three other teams.
Huddle Up: With the cornerback market down a bit, Talib is hoping to turn a solid performance in 2013 into a bigger contract next offseason.

CB Aqib Talib left in the first quarter of Sunday's AFC Championship Game with what appeared to be a hamstring injury and did not return. Talib and OT Sebastian Vollmer are two of the Patriots' notable free agents heading into the offseason.
Huddle Up: In a way, Talib may have his helped his value with his absence, as QB Joe Flacco and the Ravens' WRs definitely got the better of the Pats' smallish CBs in outscoring New England, 21-0, in the second half en route to a 28-13 win.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib has been suspended four games for using Adderall.
Huddle Up: Talib isn't quite at the level of shutdown corner yet but he's definitely stymied some elite-level wideouts. His absence hurts the Bucs' defense and opens the door for more productive passing games for Tampa Bay's opponents.

The NFL has suspended Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib four games for taking a banned substance. Talib does not plan on appealing the suspension.
Huddle Up: Not the headline Tampa wanted to see coming out of its bye with a defense already allowing an NFL-worst 345 passing yards per game.
