The Washington Redskins could consider restructuring WR Pierre Garcon's contract this offseason in order to create around $4.5 million in salary cap space.
Huddle Up: Garcon isn't quite as important with DeSean Jackson in the mix, but that shouldn't be what the Redskins tell Pierre when they're trying to rework his deal.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (ankle) said Sunday, Nov. 17, that his ankle was hurting badly after the Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Garcon exited the game early, eventually returning but he wasn't quite the same. He's definitely Robert Griffin III's go-to guy; if he's out not only does his fantasy stock drop but RG3's takes a hit as well.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon is the second-most targeted receiver in the NFL with 37 targets. He is fifth in the league with 127 yards after the catch.
Huddle Up: While he's still the Skins' WR to own, Garcon ranks as No. 2 fantasy wideout with the 15th-highest point total (35). He should only get better, though, as RGII shrugs off more rust.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said it is obvious that QB Robert Griffin III (knee) is not 100 percent at this time and that he is a different player than he was last season. 'He's not fully healthy, obviously,' Garcon said. 'He's running a little bit more. But last year's RGIII was a lot different from this year's RG because of his knee. It's not surprising. We've been talking about it the whole offseason. It's the same question every day on Monday. We can find something else to talk about.'
Huddle Up: Griffin hasn't looked right thus far this season. Perhaps he needs to get over a psychological barrier after injuring his knee in January as well. He should improve as the season goes along.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said the toe that slowed him down through most of the 2012 season is completely healed.
Huddle Up: Garcon led the league in fantasy points per opportunity last season. The problem is he missed too much time to be of much help to his owners in the long run. When healthy, he is has massive upside.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (foot), QB Robert Griffin III (knee), RB Alfred Morris and OT Trent Williams are not playing in the team's preseason opener Thursday, Aug. 8.
Huddle Up: Garcon and Griffin can use the extra rest and recovery time, while the hard-running Morris hardly needs to absorb unneeded contact.

The Washingotn Redskins have their top four receiver spots set with WRs Pierre Garcon, Joshua Morgan, Santana Moss and Leonard Hankerson at the top of the depth chart. That leaves WR Donte' Stallworth (hamstring) and WR Aldrick Robinson battling for scraps as the fifth, and possibly sixth, wide receivers. Stallworth has fallen behind some due to a hamstring injury suffered Friday, July 26. WRs Devery Henderson and Dezmon Briscoe are also in the mix for jobs.
Huddle Up: Although he has health concerns of his own, Garcon remains the clear-cut No. 1 fantasy option here. Morgan, Moss and Hankerson can be mixed and matched into drafts and lineups depending on the size of your league and, of course, how the injury situation plays out with this group.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon has been the most reliable receiver in camp thus far.
Huddle Up: Garcon was impressive last year as well, when he was healthy. Thus far the injuries appear to be behind him, and Garcon should climb the fantasy draft board as Robert Griffin III's primary downfield target.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (shoulder, toe) was medically cleared by Dr. James Andrews earlier this week, and will be a full go when the team opens up training camp. Garcon said his toe -- which was the bigger 2012 issue -- is feeling good, and that he is still deciding on a special shoe to provide extra cushion and support.
Huddle Up: All the Skins need now is RGIII's return and they'll have their most dynamic 2012 pitch & catch duo (44-633-4) rehabbed and ready to go for Week 1.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said recovery from offseason shoulder surgery is going well and does not expect it to be a problem during the regular season. He said his recovery from a foot injury is going well but it will continue to monitor the injury. Garcon decided not to get surgery on his foot because he was told by doctors that they are not sure a procedure would solve the problem.
Huddle Up: It doesn't take much reading between the lines to decipher that while Garcon is confident the shoulder injury is behind him there's potential for the foot injury to rear up and take a bite out of this season much like it did last year. So while Garcon remains an enticing fantasy target, you have to balance that upside with the possibility of re-injury as well as Robert Griffin III's questionable availability for the start of the season.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon underwent minor labrum surgery in January. Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said Garcon has recovered from the shoulder surgery and is about 90 percent recovered from his foot surgery. He expects Garcon to sit out until training camp.
Huddle Up: Garcon played hurt much of last year, so getting him healthy is the priority. And if he's able to get and stay healthy, he'll be Robert Griffin III's top downfield target.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (shoulder) underwent minor labrum surgery in January but has fully recovered. He was held out of team drills during organized team activities Thursday, May 23, as a precaution.
Huddle Up: The shoulder surgery may be the hot news at moment, but the bigger concern with Garcon remains the possibility that the wideout's bothersome foot could flare up at any time after it hampered him all of this past season. Nonetheless, Mike Shanahan and the Skins are expecting a close-to-100 percent healthy Garcon by the start of training camp in 2 months.
