Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon's production slipped last year largely because of instability at the quarterback position, according to head coach Jay Gruden, and Gruden said that he plans to have Garcon's numbers go 'back up' in 2015.
Huddle Up: Garcon saw his targets drop from 181 in 2013 to 105 last season with the rest of his stat line following suit, falling from 113-1,346-5 to 68-752-3. It would be no surprise if Garcon's numbers climb, but a return to his 2013 levels likely is asking way too much.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon would save the team a lot of money if he were to be cut, but head coach Jay Gruden said Garcon is still in the team's plans.
Huddle Up: It's the time of year where everyone with a big cap number is a potential cap casualty, but if the coach wants you around the front office generally finds a way to keep you.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon is expected to be asked to restructure his contract this offseason to lower his $9.7 million salary cap hit in 2015.
Huddle Up: Garcon fell from 181 targets to 105 last season while his receptions (113-68) and yardage totals (1,346-752) also took precipitous dips, thanks in part to DeSean Jackson's D.C. arrival. His stats figure to resemble the latter rather than the former going forward, and his salary will need to be adjusted accordingly.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon needs more touches, according to head coach Jay Gruden. He has eight catches in the last three games. Garcon has just one catch out of six third-down targets this season.
Huddle Up: Garcon has seen his targets migrate to DeSean Jackson and whichever tight end is healthy in a given week, but it sounds as if the team is refocusing its efforts to get Garcon involved. That's welcome news for fantasy owners who have been banking on Garcon as a PPR stud.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (hamstring) returned to practice Saturday, Aug. 9, and had a touchdown in team drills.
Huddle Up: The addition of DeSean Jackson actually helps Garcon, who was constantly double-teamed last year. Everything is lining up for Garcon to have a monster year in new coach Jay Gruden's vertical passing attack. He currently has an ADP of Round 3.

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon could return to practice Wednesday, July 30, after suffering a minor hamstring injury in practice. "I'll be good," Garcon said. "No need to really rush it, or trying put everything to the wall right now. It is the first week of training camp."
Huddle Up: The vet Garcon definitely has the right outlook with Washington's first preseason contest still 9 days away.

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon thinks he and WR DeSean Jackson can become the top receiving duo in the league this season. 'That's our goal -- to unseat (Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall),' Garcon said. 'But I guess last year their stats were the top two receivers on the same team -- to be up there in the top 10 category for catches and yards or however they play it out. They are two good receivers, but we'll be up there next year fighting for that position.'
Huddle Up: Garcon led all players in targets (182) and receptions (113) last season, and that was with RGIII not playing like his rookie self for much of the season. Jackson's deep speed will certainly open up more underneath routes for Garcon, and while the latter figures to fall short of his 2013 numbers, the duo very easily could rank among the top WR combos in the league.

The Washington Redskins could consider restructuring WR Pierre Garcon's contract this offseason in order to create around $4.5 million in salary cap space.
Huddle Up: Garcon isn't quite as important with DeSean Jackson in the mix, but that shouldn't be what the Redskins tell Pierre when they're trying to rework his deal.
