Denver Broncos restricted free-agent RB Lance Ball has signed his one-year tender offer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Ball provides depth in the Denver backfield, but unless Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno go down with injuries his fantasy value is limited. So we're sayin' there's a chance...

Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman will likely get the first crack at carries after the loss of RB Willis McGahee (knee, leg). However, pass blocking will remain the biggest factor in which running back sees the majority of work with McGahee out. 'For a smaller guy, he's pretty feisty in protection,' head coach John Fox said about Hillman. 'That's the thing that's always hard to learn for a rookie.' RBs Lance Ball and Knowshon Moreno could also be mixed in. Moreno has been inactive for the last eight games but hasn't been injured.
Huddle Up: Hillman was in on more snaps than Ball last week, and he has had more playing time throughout the season. If he starts getting Manning into trouble, though, Ball could see his playing time increase. Even so, Hillman has the higher upside, making him the better pickup.
