Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing (knee) could start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list because he is returning from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Cushing, though, reportedly is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
Huddle Up: Getting a healhy Cushing back is vital for the Texans, who were 5-0 in games started by the LB and 8-5 (including the postseason) without him.

Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing (knee) was officially diagnosed Tuesday with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will be lost for the season. Cushing sufferd the injury in the team's Week 5 game Monday night against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: A tough blow for the Texans and their dominating defense as they lose their top tackler and one of their emotional leaders. Cushing is expected to be replaced in the starting lineup by Tim Dobbins.

Updating a previous report, the Houston Texans fear LB Brian Cushing tore his anterior cruciate ligament. He will have an MRI Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Huddle Up: It didn't look good last night for Cushing, but there's no official word on the injury yet. While losing Cushing wouldn't torpedo the Texans' season it would definitely leave a hole in their defense.

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing (knee) was taken to the locker room in the second quarter of the Week 5 game Monday, Oct. 8, against the New York Jets. Cushing walked off under his own power with a trainer, but he was wincing and shaking his head. The medical staff was looking at his left knee area on the trainer's table on the sidelines. At halftime, the team announced he would not return.
Huddle Up: This is a big blow to the Texans' defense as Cushing came into the game leading the squad with 24 tackles. He had five tackles before leaving with the injury.

Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing (ribs) did not make the trip to New Orleans and will not play Saturday, Aug. 25.
Huddle Up: It's been a rough preseason for Cushing who missed the team's first exhibition with a virus and then suffered bruised ribs the following week against the 49ers. Cushing should be fine moving ahead though with the regular-season opener still two weeks away.

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said LB Brian Cushing (knee) underwent an MRI on his knee Monday, June 4, as a precaution. Cushing did not participate in organized team activities because of a sore knee and could miss more practices this week.
Huddle Up: This problem in his right knee may have started when he slipped chasing Atlanta's Tony Gonzalez back in December. He had the same knee surgically repaired in January 2011 (patellar tendon) so IDP'ers need to keep an eye on Cushing.
