San Diego Chargers RB Donald Brown (concussion) practiced fully Thursday, Oct. 30.
Huddle Up: After 2 straight full-practice workloads, Brown definitely looks as if he'll return Sunday after a three-game absence. Brown, though, will likely fall into the No. 2 role, spelling starter Branden Oliver.

San Diego Chargers RBs Donald Brown (concussion) and Ryan Mathewws (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 22, and has been ruled out for the team's Week 8 game.
Huddle Up: As fully expected, there will be a third straight start for undrafted rookie Branden Oliver, who's averaged 128 total yards a game and has scored a trio of TDs over the last 3 contests.

San Diego Chargers RB Donald Brown (concussion) did not practice Tuesday, Oct. 21, and is not expected to play Thursday, Oct. 23, against the Denver Broncos.
Huddle Up: With Brown expected to miss a third straight game and Ryan Mathews still out, it'll be Branden Oliver and a little of bit of Ronnie Brown shouldering the RB chores again in Week 8.

San Diego Chargers RB Donald Brown (concussion) would not have participated in practice Monday, Oct. 20, had the team worked out.
Huddle Up: Brown already has missed the last 2 games so it's not out of reason that the Bolts could have held him out Sunday to save him for the short week and Thursday's game in Denver, but he's likely going to have to get on the practice field in the next couple days for that to happen.

San Diego Chargers RB Donald Brown (concussion) missed practice again Thursday, Oct. 16.
Huddle Up: There's still hope, but it's starting to look very much as if Brown's concussion is going to cost him another game, leaving the RB chores in the hands of Darren Oilver and Ronnie Brown.

San Diego Chargers RB Branden Oliver will likely have a week or two with the backfield mostly to himself after RB Donald Brown (concussion) suffered a concussion in Week 5. Oliver rushed 19 times for 114 yards and a touchdown Sunday, Oct. 5, and caught four passes for 68 yards and another score.
Huddle Up: The Chargers will be without their top three backs, and Oliver was impressive enough Sunday to warrant serious fantasy consideration going forward--both now, with Brown and Ryan Mathews out, and once they return to health.

San Diego Chargers RB Donald Brown is likely to fill the void as the team's every-down running back with RB Ryan Mathews (knee) sidelined.
Huddle Up: Brown will see 15-20 carries a game, depending on the flow. When the Chargers are behind and have to pass, Woodhead will be on the field more, just as he is when Mathews is healthy. Either way, Brown is going to have a big role while Mathews is out and deserves to be added in all leagues.

San Diego Chargers RB Donald Brown returned kicks in practice Thursday, July 31.
Huddle Up: You wouldn't think Brown received the big free-agent $$$ to serve as a kickoff-return specialist, particularly since he's only had one career kick return (for 21 yards) in his 5 seasons in Indy. See if it continues as the preseason progresses.

The San Diego Chargers signed free-agent RB Donald Brown (Colts) to a three-year, $10 million deal Tuesday, March 11.
Huddle Up: Curious move -- especially from a fantasy perspective -- as S.D. now will have a 3-man RBBC with Brown and holdovers Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead.

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent RB Donald Brown likely would be behind RBs Vick Ballard and Trent Richardson on the depth chart if he re-signs with the team this offseason.
Huddle Up: With the Colts having other holes to plug, and Brown having designs on more playing time following his semi-resurgence in 2013, expect the 2 sides to head in different directions this offseason.

Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown (neck) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 19.
Huddle Up: Those who were counting on a revival and a full Week 16 workload for Trent Richardson will need to recalculate as Brown put in a full practice for the second straight day -- meaning it looks like the backfield timeshare will resume.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said RB Donald Brown (stinger) is considered day-to-day because of the stinger he suffered Week 15.
Huddle Up: With Trent Richardson playing well for once, Brown might not get much work if any this week.

Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown (neck) left the Week 15 game with a stinger.
Huddle Up: Trent Richardson had a nice day, too. Keep an eye on Brown this week, but Richardson might have won himself more playing time.

The Indianapolis Colts do not plan to change their usage of their running backs, despite RB Trent Richardson's struggles and RB Donald Brown's success. 'We don't plan on changing our rotation with our backs,' offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton said. 'We've always been a running back by committee bunch, so we're going to continue to do that.'
Huddle Up: After a few years of underachieving, Brown has been playing like the first round pick he was, while Richardson has taken up the mantle of underachievement. Brown is the more trustworthy fantasy option, though he's living proof that it's too early to give up on a first-round pick like Richardson.

Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown rushed 14 times for 80 yards and a pair of TDs Thursday, Nov. 14 in a 30-27 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Huddle Up: Brown notched the first 2-TD game of his career, and most importantly, outgained Indy starting RB Trent Richardson (94-53 total yards) for the third time in four weeks. He's also scored 3 TDs to none for Richardson over that span and definitely should be owned in all leagues and started in most leagues with the way things are trending in the Indy backfield.
