Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Gibson was released Friday, Feb. 27.
Huddle Up: The Dolphins are emptying the WR depth chart and clearing cap space, also waiving Brian Hartline on Friday. Gibson spent two mediocre, injury-marred two seasons in South Beach, starting eight games and catching 59 passes for 621 yards and four TDs. Gibson started the first five games in the slot last season before being bumped by rookie standout Jarvis Landry, who went on to lead the team in receiving with 84 grabs.

Huddle Up: Gibson, was on pace for a career year this past season 30 catches for 326 yards and 3 TDs in 7 games, and figures to be the front-runner for the Fins' slot/No. 3 WR job if he's healthy.

Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Gibson (knee) said he expects to be ready to go for Week 1 of the NFL season.
Huddle Up: Gibson was an under-the-radar fantasy contributor when healthy last season, so if he's good to go for the start of the season he's a guy who can be looked to for spot start/bye week duty.
