New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman said he expects to play in Week 14 even though he aggravated his calf injury during the team's Week 13 game.
Huddle Up: The Pats' receptions leader hasn't missed a game in the last two seasons so definitely expect him to be out there Sunday night in San Diego.

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (thigh) was limited again in practice Thursday, Nov. 20.
Huddle Up: Something to definitely monitor as the Pats' receptions leader is a question mark after getting injured late in the team's win Sunday night.

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman played in just 45 of the 74 offensive snaps Sunday, Oct. 26. He played in 45 of the team's first 52 snaps, but was apparently benched. The team didn't announce an injury, but he had two drops.
Huddle Up: Edelman's targets (13) and receptions (5) have taken a noticeable dip over the last 2 games -- coinciding with increased work for WR Brandon LaFell (16 targets-15 cstches) and TE Rob Gronkowski (19-14) -- and his fantasy owners should be a little concerned. He does play for the chameleon-like Patriots, though, so Edelman could have 15 targets and 12 receptions this coming Sunday.

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (back) was added to the injury report and was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Huddle Up: The injury isn't believed to be serious but check back on Thursday just to be safe. Edelman is a strong WR2 this week against the Raiders.

The New England Patriots have re-signed WR Julian Edelman. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Edelman was Tom Brady's favorite target last season, so at least Brady and the New England passing game will have some continuity heading into 2014.

Free-agent WR Julian Edelman (Patriots) will be testing the free-agent market, because he did not think the New England Patriots' offer was fair value. Edelman is also not happy that the team placed a deadline on him to respond to their offer.
Huddle Up: The Pats lost Wes Welker a year ago, and now they stand to lose Edelman, who hit career highs this past season with 105 catches for 1,056 yards and 6 TDs. We haven't heard from Tom Brady, but he and his keeper-league owners can't be happy.

The New England Patriots discussed a new contract with impending free-agent WR Julian Edelman Thursday, March 6.
Huddle Up: Edelman is coming off a career season (105-1,056-6), and he still would remain a very intriguing option -- particularly in PPR leagues -- if he stays with the Pats as part of an upgraded receiving corps.

It is unlikely that the New England Patriots will use the franchise tag on WR Julian Edelman this off season, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston, in part because of how much it would cost to use it.
Huddle Up: Look for the Pats to work around the tag and try to re-sign their leading pass-catcher, a year after being hurt by losing too many of Tom Brady's top weapons.
