The Oakland Raiders hope to trade QB Terrelle Pryor before the start of the offseason program Monday, April 21.
Huddle Up: The Raiders were unable to make their offense work with the run-first Pryor at the helm, so they're moving forward with Matt Schaub. We'll see what team wants to give the athletic Pryor a shot at a backup gig.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Mike James (ankle) said he is happy with the progress he has made in his recovery from an ankle injury and that he has been able to run and cut. James would not say if he will participate in the team's upcoming minicamp.
Huddle Up: Once he's fully healthy, James will be battling Bobby Rainey for the right to back up Doug Martin in Tampa Bay's new offense.
Josh Freeman - QB - Minnesota Vikings

Updating a previous item, the New York Giants agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with QB Josh Freeman. He could receive extra snaps this summer as QB Eli Manning (ankle) recovers from ankle surgery.
Huddle Up: Freeman is not that far removed from being a decent NFL quarterback, though he lost his job in Tampa Bay last year and flamed out famously in his only action with the Vikings--strangely enough, against the Giants. With Manning slowed during OTAs Freeman should get plenty of reps, and he's at minimum a solid insurance policy and a backup with upside.
Montee Ball - RB - Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he believes RB Montee Ball is ready to be a starting running back.
Huddle Up: The Denver offense runs through Peyton, and if he's ready to hand off to Ball that's good news for Montee's fantasy prospects.
Chris Johnson - RB - Tennessee Titans

The New York Jets are sticking to their budget/value system. While they want free-agent RB Chris Johnson (Titans), they will not 'overpay' for him. The depressed running back market suggests Johnson will fetch $3-4 million per year maximum.
Huddle Up: It'll be a step down for CJ$K money-wise, but an incentive-laden short-term deal with the run-heavy Jets might be his best option right now.
