Andre Ellington - RB - Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington is ready to be the bell cow in the offense, according to head coach Bruce Arians. The big thing for Ellington will be his development as a pass catcher.
Huddle Up: Ellington has yet to see more than 15 carries in an NFL game, but he added weight this offseason in anticipation of a larger workload. The Cardinals have Stepfan Taylor and Jonathan Dwyer to run between the tackles so they may not have to overwork Ellington there, but the plan is for Ellington to see 20-plus touches on a regular basis. Fantasy owners are salivating, though the question remains whether or not he can hold up to such a workload.
Tyrann Mathieu - S - Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals FS Tyrann Mathieu (knee) said he is about six to eight weeks away from being able to play in a game.
Huddle Up: The hope is that Mathieu is back on the field by early October, so plan your fantasy drafting of the Cardinals and/or Mathieu as an IDP accordingly.
Fred Jackson - RB - Buffalo Bills

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (leg) suffered a lower leg injury during practice Friday, July 25.
Huddle Up: Meanwhile Bryce Brown has looked great in the early going. It's too early in camp to be overly concerned about Jackson's injury, but if he's out of the lineup and Brown is on the field looking good it could shuffle the Bills' backfield committee.
Tony Moeaki - TE - Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills TE Tony Moeaki (hamstring) and S Kenny Ladler (hamstring) suffered hamstring injuries during practice Friday, July 25.
Huddle Up: Moeaki has flashed fantasy promise but just can't seem to stay healthy. On the sidelines icing a bad hammy is no way for him to beat out Scott Chandler for reps in the Bills offense.
Cam Newton - QB - Carolina Panthers

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (ankle) said his ankle is not 100 percent at this point, but it is getting better each day.
Huddle Up: Because much of Newton's fantasy value is derived from his rushing, expect his ankle to be an ongoing story during training camp. A Newton that runs less is no longer a top-five fantasy quarterback, especially given his corps of receivers.
Cordarrelle Patterson - WR - Minnesota Vikings
(7/26/2014 1:00pm et)  Share this news item on Facebook! Tweet this news item!
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson (leg) is considered day-to-day because of a leg injury.
Huddle Up: Far too early to be overly concerned about Patterson's health, but maybe a day or two off from practice will slow down the hype train surrounding Cordarrelle's fantasy value this season.
Vick Ballard - RB - Indianapolis Colts
(7/26/2014 1:00pm et)  Share this news item on Facebook! Tweet this news item!
Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard (Achilles') suffered a torn Achilles' tendon during practice Friday, July 25.
Huddle Up: Ballard can't seem to catch a break. He tore his ACL in the first game last season and now will likely miss all of 2014 with the Achilles' tendon injury. Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw remain in the Colts' backfield committee.
Kenbrell Thompkins - WR - New England Patriots
(7/26/2014 1:00pm et)  Share this news item on Facebook! Tweet this news item!
New England Patriots WR Kenbrell Thompkins has stood out through two days of training camp practices, catching several diving balls along the way.
Huddle Up: The Patriots are hoping some of their young receivers step up their game, and Thompkins is the first to do so. Now we watch to see if he can keep this up and earn a spot at or near the top of Tom Brady's receiver rotation.
Shonn Greene - RB - Tennessee Titans
(7/26/2014 12:50pm et)  Share this news item on Facebook! Tweet this news item!
Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (knee) is ready for training camp after missing time in the offseason due to a right knee injury, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Huddle Up: Greene is the veteran fallback plan to Bishop Sankey, and while he may horn in on more action than Sankey owners would like to believe he'll be more of a complimentary piece in Tennessee than a true feature-back option.
Geno Smith - QB - New York Jets
(7/26/2014 12:50pm et)  Share this news item on Facebook! Tweet this news item!
New York Jets QB Geno Smith logged three-quarters of the first-team practice reps for the second straight day on Friday, July 25.
Huddle Up: Michael Vick already knows Marty Mornhinweg's offense, and the Jets pretty much know what Vick can do. Smith getting the reps is hardly a shock, and he's still in the driver's seat for the QB1 gig in New York.
Andre Johnson - WR - Houston Texans
(7/26/2014 12:46pm et)  Share this news item on Facebook! Tweet this news item!
Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson said 'That's the plan' when asked if he wants to finish his career with the team. He feels confident with the direction of the team after meeting with the front office. Johnson ended his holdout this week.
Huddle Up: Sounds like AJ is far from holding out. But he'll be breaking in a new quarterback and a new system and has DeAndre Hopkins nipping at his heels, so he's also moving the wrong direction from his days as an elite fantasy receiver.
