Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford rushed 10 times for just 26 yards in the Week 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings, and he added three catches for 41 yards on his three targets.

Huddle Up: Langford entered the season with the No. 1 tailback job, but shaky play early on, an injury and the emergence of rookie Jordan Howard left Langford fighting for crumbs down the stretch. He will enter 2017 as a backup, and as such his fantasy value is rather minimal.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford rushed three times for four yards in the Week 14 game against the Detroit Lions and he posted one catch for just one yard on his only target.

Huddle Up: Langford suffered an injury, lost his starting job and now he is behind rookie Jordan Howard for the starting job and fighting Ka'Deem Carey for scraps. Langford should not be used for fantasy purposes at this point.

  • Posted: 11/24/2016 6:20pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (illness) returned to practice and was a full participant Thursday, Nov. 24.

Huddle Up: Langford should suit up against Tennessee in Week 12, but he is nothing more than handcuff for fantasy owners with Jordan Howard headlining Chicago's backfield.

  • Posted: 10/31/2016 9:31pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) returned to action in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings Monday, Oct. 31, but he did not record a carry and had just one catch for 11 yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: Rookie Jordan Howard stole the show in this one, and Langford was forced to battle Ka'Deem Carey for scraps. Langford's fantasy appeal is very low going forward, but he'll have two more weeks to rest up his ankle and get back to 100 percent. He could still be useful for fantasy owners down the stretch, but Howard likely needs to take a big step back for that to happen.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) participated in practice Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: The Bears' muddled backfield is about to get a bit messier. Ka'Deem Carey appears to be on equal footing with rookie Jordan Howard, while Langford was the starter before his injury. Expect Langford to eventually work his way back to leading the committee, although it is hard to see any of them enjoying fantasy success anytime soon with games against the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers sandwiching the team's Week 9 bye.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 19, and is doubtful to play in Week 7 versus the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Jordan Howard will get the start again, but he's facing a tough run defense and will be running behind a hampered offensive line. Howard is still worth a start, but expectations should be lowered Thursday night.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: It's unclear exactly when Langford will be able to return, but Jordan Howard has done well as the starter in his stead. Howard does have a tougher matchup this week, however, against the Green Bay Packers. Plus, the Bears just lost one of their starting offensive guards. Howard should still be started, but he's a low-end RB2 at best this week.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) did not practice Monday, Oct. 17. The Bears did not practice; Cutler's status is an estimation.

Huddle Up: Jordan Howard has mostly played splendidly in the absence of Langford. John Fox and the Bears will have a tough decision on their hands when Langford is ready to return, but Howard is comfortably in RB2 territory going forward.

  • Posted: 10/7/2016 11:27am ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) has been ruled as doubtful for Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts after not practicing at all this week.

Huddle Up: The reason the designation is notable is because Langford hasn't so much does practiced since suffering his high-ankle sprain in Week 3. Head coach John Fox gushed about Jordan Howard's Week 4 effort against the Detroit Lions, suggesting the rookie has a chance to steal the starting job with another strong game or two. Howard should see enough volume this week to be a solid RB2.

  • Posted: 9/26/2016 4:42pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) will miss four to six weeks with an ankle sprain, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Rookie Jordan Howard is the heir apparent while Langford is sidelined. While he is still unproven, Howard has shown signs of starter potential. He also plays a Detroit Lions defense that just surrendered over 100 rushing yards to Eddie Lacy. Howard is involved in the passing game, too, so he's not a bad option going forward in PPR and non-PPR leagues and particularly in daily contests next week.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (ankle) left Week 3 with an injury initially feared to be an Achilles' tear, but team doctors have ruled it out after further examination. Instead, the team believes he only sprained his ankle.

Huddle Up: Langford showed increased physicality in the preseason, but head coach John Fox thought he left yards on the field in Week 1 and appears to have resorted to his favored committee approach since. If Langford is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, rookie Jordan Howard may have just received his chance to become the new lead back in Chicago. With that said, it is difficult to recommend him as anything more than a flex given the Bears' current state of affairs.

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (Achilles') was carted off to the locker room in the third quarter of the Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys due to a possible Achilles' injury.

Huddle Up: With Langford on the mend and Ka'Deem Carey inactive, rookie Jordan Howard will carry the load the rest of the game unless Langford has a miraculous recovery.

  • Posted: 9/19/2016 9:38pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford carried 11 times for just 28 yards in the Week 2 game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, Sept. 19. He was able to salvage the night with a rushing touchdown, and he added one reception for six yards.

Huddle Up: It has to be tough for Chicago fans to see Langford struggle, especially in the same weekend former tailback Matt Forte starred with three total touchdowns. Langford is barely hanging on for low-end RB2 fantasy consideration at this point.

  • Posted: 9/16/2016 7:06pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford played 96 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 1, the highest percentage of any running back.

Huddle Up: Locked in as the workhorse in Chicago's backfield, Langford is a must-start option in all formats against Philadelphia in Week 2.

  • Posted: 8/25/2016 1:11pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (foot) believes he's improving at being a complete running back and would like to be a three-down back for the Bears this season. Langford cited improvements in playing through contact, catching the football and his pass-blocking ability as factors in him becoming a better player. Additionally, Langford said his recent foot injury feels good and is getting better.

Huddle Up: Langford is a bit of a conundrum in the fantasy realm this year. His yards per carry (3.6) left something to be desired in his rookie season, but he did show flashes of his ability to be a featured running back. If can stay healthy, he'll have plenty of chances to solidify himself as THE guy in Chicago's backfield. Draft him as a low-end RB2 to high-end RB3.

  • Posted: 8/23/2016 12:19pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (foot) did not practice Tuesday, Aug. 23, as he continues to recover from a foot injury.

Huddle Up: It doesn't appear to be a serious ailment, but his status should be monitored over the next couple weeks. He'll be Chicago's primary running back when he's healthy, but Jordan Howard and Ka'Deem Carey should be given a look in late rounds for those who are targeting Langford. As for Langford, he should be viewed as an RB2.

  • Posted: 8/20/2016 7:12pm ET

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford (foot) suffered a left foot injury in the team's preseason game against the New England Patriots. 'I think he got landed on,' head coach John Fox said Saturday, Aug. 20. 'He got sore after the game.' Fox declined to say if the team was being cautious with Langford, who is listed as the team's starting tailback.

Huddle Up: If Langford is nursing some type of long-term injury, it would be Ka'Deem Carey, Jordan Howard and Jacquizz Rodgers who would benefit with more snaps in the offseason.

  • Posted: 8/18/2016 8:14pm ET

Chicago Bears RB Jeremy Langford had eight carries for 55 yards and a touchdown and one catch for eight yards in a 23-22 preseason loss to the New England Patriots Thursday, Aug. 18.

Huddle Up: Langford is in line to start for the Bears, and he should sneak into RB2 territory.
