Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed seven times for 21 yards and caught one pass for five yards in a 21-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.

Huddle Up: It was another awful performance for the Tennessee offense as a whole, and Henry hasn't been able to find a rhythm this year. It's hard to drop him, but you should be able to find a better starting option while the Titans try to figure things out on offense.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 1:05pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 11 times for 56 yards in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills and he didn't have a catch on just one target.

Huddle Up: The numbers for Henry aren't impressive, but 5.1 yards per carry is much better than the 2.8 yards per rush that Dion Lewis posted. The latter did have 14 yards on three grabs, but he also lost a fumble, too. Fantasy owners are hoping for some separation in this ongoing battle, and Henry won this week in terms of production.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 4:48pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed eight times for just 24 yards and he added two catches for only seven yards on two targets in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Henry did nothing, but the good news is that Dion Lewis was unable to run for anything, either. However, Lewis was able to shake free for 66 yards on nine catches. The workload continues to be split down the middle, with Lewis producing more yardage from scrimmage. Henry remains a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy play heading into Week 5 against the Bills.

  • Posted: 9/29/2018 8:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry said his 'trash' play this season has not been acceptable. 'I let three go away,' Henry said. 'It has to be different the rest of these games.'

Huddle Up: Henry is averaging 3.0 yards per carry and has yet to find the end zone. He remains Tennessee's lead back, but a Week 4 matchup against a stout Philadelphia run defense makes him a flex option, at best.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 1:16pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 57 yards on 18 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Henry did not have much success against the tough Jaguars defense but received at least 10 carries in the third straight game. He appears to be the main option in the running game but may only be a flex option in standard leagues next week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 1:22pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (back) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Henry has been sharing carries with Dion Lewis and has rushed for 82 yards on 28 carries in the first two games. He likely would receive a similar workload this week if he plays but may only be a flex option in deeper standard leagues.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 1:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Huddle Up: The severity of Henry's ailment is not known, and he could just be resting as a precaution to get ready for Week 3. If he is limited or unavailable in the game on Sunday against the Jaguars, it would be Dion Lewis assuming a majority of the reps.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 7:06pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 18 times for 56 yards in the Week 2 game against the Houston Texans .

Huddle Up: Henry expressed his displeasure with his workload in Week 1, and he edged Dion Lewis 18-15 in total touches this week. At this rate he is barely a low-end RB2 in most fantasy leagues. Treat him more as a RB3 or flex fantasy option in Week 3 against the tough Jacksonville defense on the road.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 9:17am ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry saw 14 snaps in the first quarter in Week 1 versus the Miami Dolphins and only six more the rest of the way, good for only 30 percent of the team's 67 snaps. However, he was less disappointed over his playing time and more upset with performance. 'I felt like it was average, below average, and that's not how I want to play. I have to be better as a player. I definitely need to get it going personally. I need to play better this week, be effective in the running game, make plays, and help open everything else up,' Henry said.

Huddle Up: Henry finished the day with 10 carries for 26 yards, although it should be noted he had a 62-yard touchdown run wiped out by a penalty. There will be better days ahead, if only because every game won't have two weather delays and feature a negative game script. With that said, he's quickly shaping up as a volatile touchdown-dependent - if not game script dependent - RB2 for fantasy purposes.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 6:16pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 10 times for 26 yards in a 27-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Henry struggled to find running room early, and when the Titans fell behind, he took a backseat to Dion Lewis. He's still worth using as a flex option against the Houston Texans in Week 2, but his fantasy value is going to suffer whenever Tennessee is playing from behind.

  • Posted: 3/8/2018 3:03pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry likely will take over as the starting running back for the Titans in 2018 after the release of RB DeMarco Murray.

Huddle Up: Henry led the team with 744 yards this season and received just under half of the carries. He could also be more involved in the passing game as the starter. He should be able to improve on his stats next season and can be a No. 2 running back in most leagues.

  • Posted: 2/28/2018 10:14pm ET

Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson said at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, Feb. 28, how much he is 'looking forward' to working with RB Derrick Henry 'in the new offense,' adding that 'he is obviously a little more acclimated to the pro game and I think he can be a guy we can hand the ball to and throw it to.'

Huddle Up: It seems a lot more likely than not that the Titans will be moving on from DeMarco Murray, which could set up Henry for a huge 2018 campaign. Owners should be excited over the prospects of drafting Henry, as he has the chance to be a monstrous RB1 with a full workload on a weekly basis next season. It wouldn't be surprising to see his ADP register somewhere in the first round.

  • Posted: 2/19/2018 8:56pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry ranked third in the NFL - among players who recorded at least 175 carries - with 4.09 yards gained after defenders closed within one yard of him in 2017, according to Next Gen Stats. Henry decisively cleared 3.7 yards gained after close in five games, but he fell under that mark in all the others.

Huddle Up: Henry's inconsistency in making defenders miss from short range - or powering through those tackle attempts - is actually a bit troubling for a 247-pound back with impressive straight-line athleticism. The Titans figure to benefit from a chance at offensive coordinator as a whole - Matt LaFleur was hired to replace Terry Robiskie - and DeMarco Murray is a candidate for release this offseason, both of which could enable Henry to reach the ceiling he has displayed at times during his first two NFL seasons.

  • Posted: 1/13/2018 9:01pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 12 times for 28 yards and caught three passes for 21 yards in a 35-14 loss to the New England Patriots Saturday, Jan. 13.

Huddle Up: New England shut down Henry early, and Tennessee had to abandon the run after falling behind. There is a chance DeMarco Murray doesn't return in 2018, and if that's the case, Henry will have RB1 potential.

  • Posted: 1/7/2018 3:09pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry is expected to start in the AFC Divisional Playoff Game against the New England Patriots, head coach Mike Mularkey indicated Sunday, Jan. 7.

Huddle Up: Henry is expected to start, although DeMarco Murray (knee) hasn't been ruled out yet. Still, Henry is the player you want in fantasy postseason leagues and DFS play heading into New England.

  • Posted: 1/6/2018 5:02pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 156 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card playoff game Saturday, Jan. 6. He also caught two passes for 35 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: Henry received most of the carries during the game and was a big part of the team's success on offense. He likely will receive a lot of work next week if DeMarco Murray remains sidelined and would be a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 2:53pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed eight times for 25 yards in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Rams and he added one reception for six yards.

Huddle Up: Henry saw a total of just nine touches, but that might change in the regular-season finale with DeMarco Murray (knee) going down with a knee injury late in Week 16 while not being able to put weight on his leg.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 9:34pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry ranks second in the NFL with 375 rushing yards in the fourth quarter this season, and he leads all backs with 214 rushing yards in the last five minutes of one-possession games.

Huddle Up: The Titans like to use the bruising back to close out games, but that requires Tennessee to have the lead in the fourth quarter. That may not be the case against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16, making Henry a roll-of-the-dice flex play.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 8:14pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed eight times for just 20 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals and he did not catch any passes.

Huddle Up: The touchdown was nice for Henry, but it was a poor outing all around for the Tennessee offense. He didn't pile up the yardage like in past games and he had eight touches to 13 for DeMarco Murray. He remains the backup and a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy play in leagues of 12 or more teams as long as Murray is active.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 6:18pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry posted 11 rushes for 109 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the Houston Texans, highlighted by a win-clinching 75-yard scoring gallop late in the fourth quarter.

Huddle Up: Henry is a hard player to figure. Before his long scoring run he was basically doing nothing for his fantasy owners. At this point he remains more of an RB3 or flex fantasy option unless something happens forcing DeMarco Murray to the shelf.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 3:17pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 13 times for 79 yards in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts and he added 10 yards on his only reception on two targets.

Huddle Up: DeMarco Murray was bottled up for the entire afternoon, but Henry had no issue solving the rush defense of Indianapolis. It's uncertain if Henry's performance will lead to more work heading into Week 13 against Houston, but he is worth using as a RB3 or flex option in most fantasy formats at this point.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 10:36pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry logged seven carries for 32 yards as part of the team's Week 11 defeat versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Huddle Up: Not much went well for the Titans on Thursday, including the running game. While Henry fared better than backfield mate DeMarco Murray, the second-year pro continues to see uneven opportunities from one week to the next. As long as that continues, Henry is no better than a deep flex option.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 7:13pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry ran eight times for 26 yards and a touchdown and had two catches for 10 yards in a 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.

Huddle Up: Henry's carries continue to fluctuate from one game to the next, and he'll remain a risky flex play unless DeMarco Murray suffers an injury.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 1:56pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 13 times for just 13 yards in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns and he added two receptions for 11 yards on three targets.

Huddle Up: Henry exploded for 131 yards and a touchdown on Monday night against Indianapolis and he had big expectations with DeMarco Murray entering as a question mark with a hamstring injury. Henry was a total dud, and now Murray gets the bye to get back to 100 percent.
