Tennessee Titans rookie RB Derrick Henry rushed 15 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Houston Texans. He also had a catch for three yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: Henry saw a bigger role down the stretch for the Titans, finding the end zone four times in his final five outings. As long as DeMarco Murray is in Nashville, Henry is more of a flex fantasy play into 2017, but his role figures to continue to expand.

Tennessee Titans rookie RB Derrick Henry rushed nine times for 58 yards on two touchdowns in the Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was not used in the pass game.

Huddle Up: Henry was the hammer in the offense, but with just nine touches he is still best used as a flex play in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 16.

  • Posted: 12/11/2016 7:05pm ET

Tennessee Titans rookie Derrick Henry rushed 12 times for 42 yards in the Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos and he had one catch for five yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: Henry had a solid amount of touches, but he is no threat to taking over the majority of tailback touches anytime soon. He remains a solid dynasty option and a flex play in deeper seasonal fantasy formats.

Tennessee Titans rookie RB Derrick Henry rushed eight times for a team-high 60 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Henry still had just eight touches. While the touchdown was impressive, he needs to see at least 10-15 touches to be useful outside of deeper seasonal fantasy leagues. The Titans are off in Week 13.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) will play in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers after getting in a practice Friday, Nov. 11.

Huddle Up: It's a bit of a surprise considering Henry was expected to miss at least one or two weeks. DeMarco Murray is still the workhorse in the Titans' backfield, but he is dealing with a toe injury and probably wouldn't mind if Tennessee lightened his load just a bit in order to avoid a setback. Given the difficult matchup and the unpredictability of calf injuries, owners might be better served to leave Henry on the bench this weekend.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) is making progress with his strained calf injury. 'I think it has gotten better,' head coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday, Nov. 9. 'Another day is not going to hurt him, especially this time of the year. We'll know more tomorrow to see how much more he can do.'

Huddle Up: With Henry sidelined, Antonio Andrews has filled the void as the primary backup behind DeMarco Murray. Avoid Henry in all fantasy leagues until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

  • Posted: 11/9/2016 3:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Huddle Up: Henry may miss some time because of his injury, but owners should monitor the situation to see if he has any chance to play in Week 10. Antonio Andrews would serve as the No. 2 running back if Henry is ruled out but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 10:52pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) tweaked a calf injury in pregame warmups in Week 9 against the San Diego Chargers. As such he was unavailable, so RB Antonio Andrews backup up starter RB DeMarco Murray.

Huddle Up: Henry's status for Week 10 is uncertain. When healthy he is only worth a look as a flex play in the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry will continue to receive some work each week, but his role is likely to remain game-flow dependent for now, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: DeMarco Murray isn't going to get pushed aside, in other words. Henry is perhaps the highest-upside handcuff in fantasy right now and could possibly see more work this week in light Murray's toe issue, but there isn't going to be any kind of timeshare. Barring any further injury woes from Murray or the game getting out of hand one way or the other, Henry's workload ceiling is probably around 10 touches.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry had 16 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 37 yards in a 36-22 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Oct. 27.

Huddle Up: Henry saw some extra work with Tennessee jumping out to a big lead. He showed he can produce when given touches, but he is going to play a distant second fiddle to DeMarco Murray most weeks.

  • Posted: 9/18/2016 1:48pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry continued to serve as a situational and spell to starting RB DeMarco Murray. Henry ran nine times for 40 yards and caught one pass for nine yards in Week 2 at the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Huddle Up: Henry could be a sneaky DFS flier in Week 3 at home against the Oakland Raiders. Traditional gamers should continue to avoid him.

  • Posted: 9/1/2016 5:38pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry recorded 62 yards on seven rush attempts and also scored a touchdown in the team's preseason finale Thursday, September 1.

Huddle Up: Yes, it came against a mostly second-string defense, but with this performance, Henry wraps up an absolutely fabulous preseason that should have him in line for regular work when the meaningful games begin next weekend. Henry finishes up his preseason slate with 216 yards on 34 carries, which comes out to a remarkable 6.4 yards per carry, but with DeMarco Murray hanging around, it's awfully tough to tell how much work Henry will get during the regular season. He's great to stash on the bench, though, in case he gets an extended opportunity at some point later on this year.

  • Posted: 8/24/2016 9:54pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry will get onto the field, as head coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday, Aug. 24, that he will find ways to use Henry even though RB DeMarco Murray is the starter.

Huddle Up: The Heisman Trophy candidate out of Alabama has been impressive and he'll see his share of the carries in Nashville, although Murray is the top dog. Consider Henry a RB3 with plenty of upside.

  • Posted: 8/7/2016 12:48pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has been much better in the tempo portion of practices of late, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. Mularkery criticized Henry for his slow starts to practice late last week.

Huddle Up: The NFL rookie learning curve is steep -- even for Heisman winners from NFL factories such as Alabama. Henry currently owns an ADP of 35 among RBs -- 13 spots behind projected starter DeMarco Murray.

  • Posted: 7/5/2016 1:02pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry's heavy workload in college was never a concern, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Still, barring an injury to trade acquisition DeMarco Murray, the Titans don't/won't need to put the rookie to the bellcow test as it looks to be a full-blown timeshare brewing in the Tennessee backfield.

  • Posted: 6/10/2016 3:56pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has impressed the team with his hands as a receiver, which head coach Mike Mularkey said makes Henry even more dangerous.

Huddle Up: Henry only caught 17 passes in three seasons at Alabama, but perhaps his receiving skills were underutilized in the Tide's run-first attack. In short, the more skills the rookie shows, the more touches he'll get in the timeshare with projected started DeMarco Murray.

  • Posted: 5/15/2016 2:15pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry is going to be a 'monster' for the offense, TE Delanie Walker said, and C Ben Jones said he 'can't wait' to see what Henry does behind Tennessee's improved offensive line.

Huddle Up: If the Titans hadn't signed free-agent DeMarco Murray, the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner would be markedly higher on fantasy wish lists. Now, a true time-share looms.
