Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 14 times for a career-high 92 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Henry was leaned upon more heavily in the lopsided win with the team holding out veteran DeMarco Murray for most of the second half to rest. Don't look too much into the carries distribution right now, as it was skewed because of the blowout. Now, if in a close game in Week 3 Henry sees more touches than Murray, then it's time to get excited.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 24 yards on nine carries in the preseason game against the Chicago Bears Sunday, Aug. 27. He also caught three passes for 29 yards and one touchdown in the game.

Huddle Up: Henry will be the No. 2 running back for the Titans this season but should still see a decent amount of touches. He can be considered a No. 4 fantasy running back in standard leagues and could also be a handcuff to DeMarco Murray.

  • Posted: 8/19/2017 3:24pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry finished with 36 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 16 carries and added three receptions for 17 yards against the Carolina Panthers on Saturday, Aug. 19.

Huddle Up: Henry got the start with DeMarco Murray resting again, but he couldn't get much going outside of his 17-yard touchdown run in the first quarter as the Panthers owned the line of scrimmage in the run game early. He plowed his way for another score on the Titans' next drive. Despite his inefficiency in this contest, Henry is one of the top two or three handcuffs in fantasy football and would be a high-end RB1 if Murray is forced to miss any time this year.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry had five rushing touchdowns to go along with 490 rushing yards and a 4.5 yards-per-carry average as a rookie, but it is not unrealistic he could come close to doubling his total yards and touchdowns, even as a backup, in 2017, according to ESPN.com's Cameron Wolfe.

Huddle Up: Accomplishing those feats would require Henry to push for 200 touches (he had 123 last year) and to win goal-line duties (a strong possibility). It's a tall order for a player who has DeMarco Murray in front of him, and he would almost certainly need the 29-year-old to miss multiple weeks due to injury in order to get there. Henry is still one of the most valuable handcuffs in fantasy and is well worth a selection in the middle rounds as a low-end RB3 with huge upside.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry looks faster this offseason, according to head coach Mike Mularkey, and Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com said Henry has looked more comfortable catching the ball.

Huddle Up: Henry is one of the top backup running backs, and if you are a DeMarco Murray owner, you'd be wise to snag Henry as a handcuff. If you own Henry in a keeper format, you just have to sit tight. His time is coming.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry was back at Saint Thomas Sports Park on Monday, May 2, after missing the first two weeks of the team?s voluntary offseason program due to taking classes at the University of Alabama. 'He looks great, is moving well and seems to be in very good shape for this time of the year. It?s obvious he?s been doing a whole lot of work in the time he?s been away,' running backs coach Sylvester Croom said.

Huddle Up: There had been some speculation when Henry didn't show up for the start of voluntary workouts he either was unhappy about DeMarco Murray being handed the job in 2017 or that he wasn't being given the chance to compete for it. This report should quell those concerns. With Murray possibly nearing the end of his prime at age 29, it wouldn't be a surprise if Henry is able to forge a split backfield at some point in 2017.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said he has not talked with RB Derrick Henry since Henry decided not to report for offseason workouts. Henry is currently taking classes at the University of Alabama.

Huddle Up: Henry's role probably will not change much in 2017 but he should continue to see a solid amount of carries during the season. He can be considered a No. 4 running back in fantasy leagues as well as a handcuff for DeMarco Murray owners.

Tennessee Titans rookie RB Derrick Henry rushed 15 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Houston Texans. He also had a catch for three yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: Henry saw a bigger role down the stretch for the Titans, finding the end zone four times in his final five outings. As long as DeMarco Murray is in Nashville, Henry is more of a flex fantasy play into 2017, but his role figures to continue to expand.

Tennessee Titans rookie RB Derrick Henry rushed nine times for 58 yards on two touchdowns in the Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was not used in the pass game.

Huddle Up: Henry was the hammer in the offense, but with just nine touches he is still best used as a flex play in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 16.

  • Posted: 12/11/2016 7:05pm ET

Tennessee Titans rookie Derrick Henry rushed 12 times for 42 yards in the Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos and he had one catch for five yards on his only target.

Huddle Up: Henry had a solid amount of touches, but he is no threat to taking over the majority of tailback touches anytime soon. He remains a solid dynasty option and a flex play in deeper seasonal fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 11/27/2016 4:57pm ET

Tennessee Titans rookie RB Derrick Henry rushed eight times for a team-high 60 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Henry still had just eight touches. While the touchdown was impressive, he needs to see at least 10-15 touches to be useful outside of deeper seasonal fantasy leagues. The Titans are off in Week 13.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) will play in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers after getting in a practice Friday, Nov. 11.

Huddle Up: It's a bit of a surprise considering Henry was expected to miss at least one or two weeks. DeMarco Murray is still the workhorse in the Titans' backfield, but he is dealing with a toe injury and probably wouldn't mind if Tennessee lightened his load just a bit in order to avoid a setback. Given the difficult matchup and the unpredictability of calf injuries, owners might be better served to leave Henry on the bench this weekend.

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) is making progress with his strained calf injury. 'I think it has gotten better,' head coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday, Nov. 9. 'Another day is not going to hurt him, especially this time of the year. We'll know more tomorrow to see how much more he can do.'

Huddle Up: With Henry sidelined, Antonio Andrews has filled the void as the primary backup behind DeMarco Murray. Avoid Henry in all fantasy leagues until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.

  • Posted: 11/9/2016 3:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Huddle Up: Henry may miss some time because of his injury, but owners should monitor the situation to see if he has any chance to play in Week 10. Antonio Andrews would serve as the No. 2 running back if Henry is ruled out but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 10:52pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (calf) tweaked a calf injury in pregame warmups in Week 9 against the San Diego Chargers. As such he was unavailable, so RB Antonio Andrews backup up starter RB DeMarco Murray.

Huddle Up: Henry's status for Week 10 is uncertain. When healthy he is only worth a look as a flex play in the deepest of fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/5/2016 10:02am ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry will continue to receive some work each week, but his role is likely to remain game-flow dependent for now, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: DeMarco Murray isn't going to get pushed aside, in other words. Henry is perhaps the highest-upside handcuff in fantasy right now and could possibly see more work this week in light Murray's toe issue, but there isn't going to be any kind of timeshare. Barring any further injury woes from Murray or the game getting out of hand one way or the other, Henry's workload ceiling is probably around 10 touches.

  • Posted: 10/27/2016 9:00pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry had 16 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 37 yards in a 36-22 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday, Oct. 27.

Huddle Up: Henry saw some extra work with Tennessee jumping out to a big lead. He showed he can produce when given touches, but he is going to play a distant second fiddle to DeMarco Murray most weeks.
