Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (core) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Huddle Up: Randall Cobb and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are the primary beneficiaries of Allison being sidelined. Valdes-Scantling is a particularly intriguing prospect now as he is likely available in many leagues. Consider him a top waiver-wire priority heading into Week 10.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 2:05pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (core) is expected to undergo surgery for a core muscle injury after consulting a specialist, according to a source. The recovery period is around six weeks, making Allisson a candidate to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list.

Huddle Up: Allison's misfortune creates a bigger opportunity for Randall Cobb and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to produce. Furthermore, Equanimeous St. Brown is worthy of a pickup off waivers if available.

  • Posted: 11/3/2018 2:50pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring, groin) was officially ruled out for Week 9 Saturday, Nov. 3.

Huddle Up: Marquez Valdes-Scantling possesses flex appeal with the absence of Allison. There should also be a heavy dose of Davante Adams with both Jimmy Graham and Randall Cobb seeing more targets. Cobb has WR3 upside.

  • Posted: 11/2/2018 3:44pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring, groin) did not practice Friday, Nov. 2 and he is listed as doubtful for the Week 9 game against the New England Patriots.

Huddle Up: Allison should be avoided in all fantasy leagues this week, as there is just a 25 percent chance he plays. Equanimeous St. Brown is all banged up, so Marquez Valdes-Scantling could surprise.

  • Posted: 11/2/2018 7:48am ET

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (groin) suffered a groin injury in practice Thursday, Nov. 1. Head coach Mike McCarthy said: 'We'll see where he is (Saturday.)'

Huddle Up: Stay away from Allison this week. Randall Cobb could have some upside as a flex option against the New England Patriots.

  • Posted: 10/31/2018 3:56pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Huddle Up: Allison returned to action in Week 8 after a month-long absence but severely disappointed his owners who expected much more than a single 14-yard reception in a high-scoring shootout. Thus, it may be difficult trusting him this weekend until he proves himself again.

  • Posted: 10/28/2018 10:19pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison caught one pass for 14 yards against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8.

Huddle Up: After averaging nearly 73 yards receiving per game before his injury, Allison was targeted just once in his return to the field. Unless there were lingering issues with Allison's hamstring this is a bad sign for him going forward as rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown were more involved with the offense. If you held onto Allison you might want to give it another week before making a move, just in case it was health related.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 2:07pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Allison appears to have a good chance to play in the Week 8 game, but owners should know more in the upcoming days. He probably will be the team's No. 3 receiver if he plays but may be a risky option because of the injury.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 8:29am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison's (hamstring) progress has head coach Mike McCarthy feeling good about Allison's status for Week 8.

Huddle Up: The Los Angeles Rams are a good matchup for receivers on paper because they're usually forcing teams to throw a lot from behind. Allison is a flex option if he goes.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 3:22pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Huddle Up: Circle back around on Friday when the official injury designations are revealed to see if he is playing in Week 8. When healthy he can be a solid WR4 or WR5, depending on the health of the team's other receivers.

  • Posted: 10/23/2018 8:56am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) returned to practice Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Huddle Up: The Packers face the Los Angeles Rams this week, and they actually have yielded a lot of points to WRs the last five weeks. That's because they've been making other teams play catchup, which the Packers defense may be in line to allow the offense this week. Allison is a flex option.

  • Posted: 10/13/2018 11:42am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) was limited during practice Saturday, Oct. 13, and is listed as questionable for Week 6. The Packers did not hold a practice Saturday, so his practice participation is an estimation.

Huddle Up: Allison will be a game-time decision this week, so owners will need to check the inactive list. He is a risky option because the team plays on Monday Night Football, so owners may want to use healthier options for their lineup and bench Allison.

  • Posted: 10/13/2018 9:23am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for the Week 6 game, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

Huddle Up: Allison's availability likely will not be known until the inactive list is posted, so owners should keep an eye on the situation. Owners may want to consider other options this week because the Packers play on Monday Night Football, and there would be limited options available if Allison is ruled out.

  • Posted: 10/12/2018 8:32am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) is out of practice Friday, Oct. 12, working off to the side.

Huddle Up: We should know more about his status if he practices Saturday, but he'd be a WR3 against the San Francisco 49ers.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 8:55am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) has cleared the concussion protocol, but he's out of practice with a hamstring issue.

Huddle Up: There is time for Allison to return, but Marquez Valdes-Scantling could end up being the second receiver again. Keep tabs on this the next two days.

  • Posted: 10/5/2018 8:11am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion) has hope to be cleared from the concussion protocol for Week 5, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

Huddle Up: It's Friday, and there's no word of him being cleared. So lean on the side of caution and look to be without him this week. Ty Montgomery is a good flex option in PPR against the Detroit Lions.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 8:36am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: The Packers' top three receivers are iffy for Week 5. Allison has another day or two in order to be cleared. If he is, he'd be a highlighted option. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Ty Montgomery are worth waiver claims as they could be the top two receiving options as flex plays in fantasy.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 8:30am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: He still has time to suit up for Week 5, but he's questionable at best. With Randall Cobb (hamstring) also a question mark, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will have a role. However, the one that might benefit the most is Ty Montgomery. He was third in receiving yards with 56 last week, and he might be ahead of Jimmy Graham for second in the pecking order.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 10:30pm ET

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion) did suffer a concussion during the team's 22-0 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Sept. 30. Before departing, Allison caught six passes for 80 yards.

Huddle Up: With Randall Cobb out of action, Allison (11 targets) was neck and neck with Davante Adams (14) in terms of attention from Rodgers. Allison's performance was a mixed bag, however, as he dropped three passes, including the one on which he was injured. If he can make it back in time for Week 5 he could value as a WR3 option.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 8:43pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison posted two receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: The highlight of the day was a 64-yard scoring connection with Aaron Rodgers. Allison has plenty of downfield ability, but he'll need more targets before he is worth using as anything more than a WR5 in most fantasy leagues. The Packers host the Bills in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 5:47pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison posted six receptions for 64 yards on six targets in the Week 2 tie against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Allison did a good job in this one, but he was still the tertiary receiving option fighting for targets with Randall Cobb. Don't overvalue him based on this decent stat line. He remains more of a WR5 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 10:09pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison tallied five receptions, 69 yards and a touchdown against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 9.

Huddle Up: With the Packers in full-blown comeback mode, Aaron Rodgers trusted three guys: Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Allison. It might be a little premature to add Allison, but those in deeper leagues should definitely keep an eye on him over the next week or two to see if his numbers hold up.

  • Posted: 7/24/2018 9:24am ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison will have to fend off competition from Michael Clark and the three receivers selected in the draft this spring, but he 'looks like the best bet' to open the season as the third receiver behind Davante Adams and Randall Cobb, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Huddle Up: The third receiver in an Aaron Rodgers-led offense is always a sneaky good bet for fantasy production and Allison should be no different. He's flashed when he's had the opportunity and obviously has more rapport with Rodgers than most of his competition for the job. Allison is well worth a pick in later rounds who could pay off big if Cobb has trouble staying healthy again.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 3:23pm ET

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (illness) missed practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Typically, Allison isn't a name you'd consider in fantasy leagues but with Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams likely to miss Sunday's season finale, the 23-year-old will be in a position to maybe contribute something meaningful if he suits up. Allison had some solid showings near the end of his rookie season a year ago in extended playing time, though Aaron Rodgers probably had a lot to do with that as well.
