The New Orleans Saints released PK John Kasay Friday, Aug. 31. As a result of that move, PK Garrett Hartley has won kicking job.
Huddle Up: Just notable for when you draft your kicker in the last round. Garrett Hartley is the man to own in New Orleans, and Kasay joins a growing list of decent kickers without a job.

New Orleans Saints PK Garrett Hartley likely has the edge over PK John Kasay for the kicker job because he is younger than Kasay and has four years remaining on his current contract.
Huddle Up: For a player who turned 43 of the middle of last season, Kasay stood out for the 2011 Saints, connecting on 28-of-34 field-goal attempts and finishing second in the NFL with 147 points scored. The 26-year-old Hartley, however, has youth on his side despite missing last season with a hip injury. Whomever wins the job will be a valuable fantasy kicking commodity with the Saints' high-powered offense.
