Huddle Up: Beathard has, believe it or not, been an elite fantasy quarterback over his last three games. He is the No. 4 fantasy quarterback in that span, averaging 273 total yards and 1.6 total touchdowns. Needless to say, he is a viable starter following the 49ers' Week 11 bye.

Huddle Up: The 49ers are not rushing to get Jimmy Garoppolo under center, and there is no reason since Beathard is actually playing pretty well. Still, he is nothing more than a QB2 in deeper leagues using two starting signal callers. The 49ers are off in Week 11, though.

Huddle Up: Jimmy Garoppolo continues to learn the playbook and familiarize himself with his new teammates and the system. There have been reports it might not be until Week 12 that we see Garoppolo, if at all. Beathard isn't a recommended fantasy option in all but the deepest of formats using two QBs.

Huddle Up: Beathard won't go quietly into the night with the team trading for Jimmy Garoppolo. He has the starting job, and there are different ideas from the coaching staff when we might see a change. Originally Week 12 was tossed around, head coach Kyle Shanahan hinted maybe not at all in 2017, and then others thought he might be worked in here and there to get his feet wet. Either way, whomever is under center in San Francisco right now has very little fantasy appeal.

Huddle Up: Beathard is a young quarterback who is going to make mistakes, while also showing glimpses of brilliance. However, he is too inconsistent to rely upon for fantasy purposes at this point, especially with the personnel around him.

Huddle Up: The good news is that Beathard did not toss any interceptions in his first NFL start, but he was harassed all day, including five sacks and six quarterback hits from the Dallas defense. The 49ers travel to meet the Eagles in Week 8.

Huddle Up: The third-round pick out of Iowa was 19-for-36 for 245 yards, one touchdown and one pick against the Washington Redskins in Week 6. He's only an option in two-QB leagues.
