Huddle Up: Thomas emerged as a useful fantasy option in deeper leagues down the stretch, taking over for the injured Greg Olsen (foot). If the team moves on from Olsen, Thomas has TE1 potential heading into 2019 since tight end is a big part of Carolina's offense.

Huddle Up: Thomas has stepped up since Greg Olsen (foot) went down, and he looks like the heir apparent at the position, perhaps start in 2019 if the Panthers go another way with Olsen.

Huddle Up: Thomas appeared to be a sneaky streaming option going into Week 15 after the rookie tight end amassed 14 catches for 123 yards over the previous two weeks. However, it would not work out, and this type of outing indicates Thomas belongs on the waiver wire as the fantasy postseason winds down.

Huddle Up: Thomas was making the start with Greg Olsen (foot) done for the season and Thomas was a nice security blanket for Cam Newton. He might be the future in Charlotte at the position, and is a decent short-term PPR target if you need help at tight end. The Panthers host the Saints in Week 15 on Monday night.

Huddle Up: Thomas was the next man up after Greg Olsen suffered yet another injury to his foot. It's uncertain if Olsen will be forced to miss more time, but with the Panthers skidding out of control and perhaps out of the playoff race, it wouldn't be surprising to see more Thomas and less Olsen going forward.
