Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup believes improved chemistry with QB Dak Prescott will result in consistent big plays down the field. 'I think we've got a better feel for each other and where I'm going to be and everything,' Gallup said. 'I'm pretty excited about that part.'

Huddle Up: With Amari Cooper as the go-to option and Randall Cobb now manning the slot, Gallup will likely serve as a downfield weapon. That role isn't exactly conducive to consistent production, making Gallup a big-play dependent WR4 option in fantasy circles.

  • Posted: 6/5/2019 3:18pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup (leg) left practice early Wednesday, June 5, because of tightness in his leg.

Huddle Up: Gallup should have a solid role in the passing game this season and likely will improve on his 2018 numbers. He has a chance to be a No. 4 receiver in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 1/12/2019 8:31pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup caught six of his nine targets for 119 yards in a 30-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round Saturday, Jan. 12.

Huddle Up: Gallup flashed his potential during his rookie year, and the next step will be developing some consistency. He should be a decent WR4 candidate when 2019 drafts roll around.

  • Posted: 1/5/2019 8:46pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup caught two of of his six targets for 18 yards and a touchdown in a 24-22 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the wild-card round Saturday, Jan. 5.

Huddle Up: Gallup will remain a touchdown-dependent gamble for fantasy owners during the playoffs, but the rookie has flashed at times this year and has some decent long-term appeal in keeper formats.

  • Posted: 12/23/2018 5:28pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup finished with three receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on four targets.

Huddle Up: The touchdown was his first since Oct. 21 in Washington, and also his first in front of the home fans in eight home games this season. He'll look to build up momentum for the wild-card game with a solid showing in Week 17 on the road against the Giants.

  • Posted: 12/9/2018 7:47pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup posted four receptions for 24 yards on nine targets in the Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Gallup has two or more catches in six of the past seven outings, but he hasn't scored in six games and his yardage totals are very ordinary. He only has fantasy appeal in the deepest of leagues heading into Week 15 at Indianapolis.

  • Posted: 11/22/2018 5:33pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup caught two of six targets for 19 yards in Week 12 against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: While he has a bright future, Gallup is best left on the waiver wire at this time. He has a hint of DFS utility in Week 13 against the New Orleans Saints.

  • Posted: 11/18/2018 1:52pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup caught one pass for 10 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Gallup has been targeted at least five times in three of the last four games but has not caught more than three passes in any game this season. Owners should be able to find better options to use and can avoid Gallup next week.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 8:41pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup registered three catches for 51 yards on six targets in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans on Monday, Nov. 5.

Huddle Up: Gallup is a player the team is very high on, but his upward trajectory in terms of fantasy value took a hit when the team acquired Amari Cooper. Treat him more as a WR5 heading into Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 6:54pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup finished with three receptions for a game-high 81 yards and a touchdown in the Week 7 game against the Washington Redskins on five targets.

Huddle Up: It was the rookie's first foray into the end zone and his yardage total was a career high, too. He had a total of seven receptions in his previous six games, so he still has a lot of work before he is a weekly fantasy option. And don't bother with him in Week 8, as the team is on a bye.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 10:53pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup caught one pass (on three targets) for six yards on Sunday, Oct. 7, against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: After gaining an encouraging 45 yards in Week 4, Gallup slowed to a trot with just six yards in Week 5. He's a stash candidate in larger leagues thanks to his upside, but Gallup can be safely ignored in standard formats.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 11:10pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup was targeted five times in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions; he caught two of them for 45 yards.

Huddle Up: Gallup matched three others for team-high honors with those five looks, and his 37-yard grab was the second-longest pass play of the day. With Dallas' receivers continuing to underwhelm expect the young Gallup to keep getting chances to contribute. He's at least a name to keep on your watch list.

  • Posted: 9/10/2018 9:22am ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup logged only 29 of a possible 64 snaps in Week 1 versus the Carolina Panthers, catching his only target for nine yards.

Huddle Up: In a receiving corps with so little upside, there's really no excuse for Gallup to play so little. However, until Dallas sees fit to make a change, the rookie will be nothing more than high-upside WR4/WR5. Despite the disappointing opener, he is worth holding onto in most leagues.

  • Posted: 8/11/2018 6:31pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup is a 'moldable, future really good receiver,' according to wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal.

Huddle Up: Gallup caught a 30-yard touchdown in his preseason debut, and his size could allow him to contribute in the red zone immediately for a Dallas offense that is still sorting out its receiving corps. Stash him as a WR5 in redraft leagues and see how he develops.

  • Posted: 8/9/2018 11:55pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from QB Dak Prescott against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, Aug. 9.

Huddle Up: Of the all rookie wideouts, Gallup might be stepping into the best situation. That he was on the receiving end of Prescott's TD toss is another good sign. While you should manage expectations with Gallup, he's deserving of late-round selection based on his potential.

  • Posted: 8/5/2018 8:15pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup should become a key target once he becomes comfortable with the offense, according to vice president Stephen Jones.

Huddle Up: The Dallas receiving corps is going to look a lot different this year, and Gallup could make an instant impact, especially in the red zone. He's a second-round option in rookie drafts and a late-round lottery ticket in redraft leagues.

  • Posted: 7/26/2018 7:28pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup's catch radius and ability to contribute in the red zone were praised by offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.

Huddle Up: The Cowboys will need some receivers to step up following the departures of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Don't expect Gallup to be a reliable fantasy starter this year, but he's a second-round option in rookie drafts and a WR5 candidate in redraft leagues because of his potential impact in the red zone.
