Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews appears to be the leading candidate for the No. 5 wide receiver but will have to hold off WRs Armon Binns and Damian Williams for the job.

Huddle Up: Matthews, who was fourth on the team a year ago with 41 receptions for 448 yards and 2 TDs, should win the job, but that doesn't put him on the fantasy radar in most leagues unless there's a sudden rash of injuries among the Miami wideouts.

Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews is working with the first-team offense in place of WR Mike Wallace (hamstring) Wednesday, July 30.

Huddle Up: Further proof that Matthews is pushing his way into Miami's receiver rotation. And if Ryan Tannehill continues to improve, Bill Lazor's offense picks up the tempo and the line can provide enough time for Tannehill to make the throws... yes, it's a lot of moving parts, but there is enough upside to the Dolphins passing game that a third receiver could make a fantasy impact.

Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews stood out Sunday, July 27, with a series of catches that anointed him the unofficial star of the workout.

Huddle Up: The Dolphins could use a little good news, especially in the passing game. Matthews will be battling for a complementary role in the Miami passing game, but with Bill Lazor at OC and Ryan Tannehill at quarterback there could be enough improvement for more than just Mike Wallace to be a fantasy factor.

Miami Dolphins WR Rishard Matthews appears to be the leading candidate for the No. 3 wide receiver job at this point but will have to compete with WRs Jarvis Landry and Brandon Gibson for the job during training camp.

Huddle Up: Matthews came on during the second half of 2013, but keep in mind that was after Gibson had been lost for the season with a knee injury. The Dolphins also used a second-round pick on Landry last month, so it'll definitely be an interesting training-camp battle to watch.
